"The North trail will eventually take you to the Pygmy forest and Prairie areas. I stayed on the trail until South Trail where I descended the hill toward Power line trail. This took me to the Woodside camp. I then hooked up with the central trail and took Huckleberry trail to get back to North Trail. All in it came to 6.8 miles with just over 1,000 feet of elevation change. Not a hard hike, but not an easy one either. Highly recommend."
"Wonderful hike through the woods! If you start at the parking area on the side of the road the trail head is right there. Head up the trail for about 3 miles up through pygmy forest and back down through the central trail down to camp. Go straight across the road to ocean trail where theres a beautiful little water fall, follow the trail down to the park and you can have a excellent rest next to ocean with the wave hitting the rocks and spraying in the air. If you head back north you can bushwack it a little to get back to the salt point visitors center or just go back up to the hwy and walk along it to get back into the trail areas. We followed along the coast and eventually you get back to where you parked your vehicle if you follow along the coast and back around to the hwy 1. If you do this trail its about 8 miles if you go all the way up through the forest and back down along the coast."
