"Nice place to walk around though in long Beach on the route to your destination instead of just the road sidewalk areas . Lots of art ,kids park etc around here"
"It is very nice down here. Lots of entertainment and places to shop and eat at. If you've never been down to long beach come see the experience. Walking distance for most things, busses and uber for others locations. Very pretty place and the beach and board walks are great."
"Easy going, pedestrian friendly embarcadero. Lots of fun, touristy shops and good restaurants of all varieties. The Pike, right across the street, is also full of shopping, entertainment, and an excellent aquarium."
"Great place to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. This area is up and coming and it's great to see how nice things are now ."
"The Promenade is a very inviting artful public space in very upscale part of Long Beach. Be see to check out the restaurants, bars, coffee shops on or adjacent to the Promenade! Also the access to public transportation is right here.. From the Promenade area at Ocean Blvd you can access a free shuttle that will take you to many attractions Long Beach has to offer. The free shuttle is a short ride to Shoreline Village and the gorgeous Marina, miles of boardwalk, the Queen Mary or in the other direction you might go to the far end of the very cool and trendy 2nd St. (take the bus heading south). Access heading south includes Bixby Park and Bluffs Park (11am and 5pm free Yoga class on the bluff which has great views). Check Google Maps for the areas I have mentioned here. I have written reviews on many of the restaurants, bars and other attractions throughout downtown and out to 2nd St... You can read my reviews (over 500)... cmilton111 on Google Maps.. select my icon and enjoy my reviews.. a mini tour of the best of SoCal. The Promenade is centrally located therefore it is close to many of the exciting things about Downtown Long Beach. The Convention Center, The Arts and Entertainment Center, Shoreline Village, and The Pike Outlet; are all a short walk. The Hyatt Regency, The Westin, The Renaissance, The Marriott, Hotel Maya by Hilton and other excellent Hotels are nearby (these hotels all have their own restaurants and bars).. most within walking distance. I notice that a lot of people are walking their dog/s; if you aren't you may be able to get to pet one or more of these City pets like I do. Take your cameras and keep in mind this is really a great area to go for a bike ride... Residents are generally very friendly, easy to talk with and helpful if you need directions... Seriously, this area is one of the most friendly due to the charm and roots of this gracious community (early settlers I am told were from the midwest). Have fun while you can In gorgeous Long Beach. You may find the Promenade is the perfect starting or ending point. Hope this helps! By cmilton111 Google Guide 1/2018"
