Aspirus St. Luke's Clinic - Duluth - Neurology

"Absolutely worst experience I have had thus far with a provider. I was sent to this neurologist as a community care provider through the VA. I was prescribed a medication by this provider that has to go to the VA to be filled. I have had to call several times to get this neurologist to fax the prescription tot he VA. The medication is non formulary so there is a form the neurology office has to fill out and fax back to the VA. The VA has sent the neurologist the form several times and they have yet to send the form back. I have called several times with promises by them to send the form back and a nurse would call me. To this day no one from the office has called me back and the form has not been sent. Patient care is definitely lacking and I would recommend avoiding this office and going somewhere where they actually care about patient care."

"I have had migraines most of my life. The last couple years they have become worse. My doctor ordered an MRI and follow up with Dr Kaplan. My MRI was scheduled in February but the soonest I could get an appointment with Dr Kaplan was May 27! I then received a letter advising me my appointment was canceled and I needed to reschedule. I called and was told the soonest I could get in was the middle of July! I was not happy with that! The person I was speaking to instantly transfered me to someones voice mail. So, no appointment, lots of pain."

"I would not recommend going here. 15 minutes in the office is all you get. The Dr. never bothered to look at any of my old scans that I had sent over and literally CUT ME OFF when I wanted to start talking about specific past things that had me worried, such as the traumas my head and neck have endured. I've never had as low standard of care as from this place. You are treated like a number in a busy doctor's schedule and litearally nobody cares. A wasted appointment that never got anywhere. I had to make an appointment with Essentia Health instead, they give you a whole HOUR for your consultation so you can be assured they will be more thorough than this place."

"I find Dr. Kaplan to be a thorough Doctor. He is very knowledgeable and is truly interested in helping those who struggle with neurological issues. I would highly recommend him."

"I was a admitted to to st Mary on 2/13/18. I was admitted at 1 o'clock i was there to get a web video for my psedoseizures. I was told they wanted to hold my meds so I will have seizures. Mind you i have a heart condition and was told by my dr that I am not to not take my meds . I had four seizures last night. No one checked on me after I have them no heart check nothing. If u go there make sure you know exactly what they want to do and good luck to you . I will never recommend this unit to anyone .. go somewhere else if u care about your health ."
