"My granddaughter and I have gone to the wonderful place many times and when we do everyone there is such a delight! Honestly, I would come here just to have the experience with the amazing waiters and waitresses. The foods a good plus too! My favorite is the goulash. I recently had the chance to try the German potato pancakes, and I was wonderfully surprised. Amazing experiences every time!"

"We really loved the food. It was something like we've never had here in Spokane. The prices are not something to complain about, slightly cheaper than I'd expect. I got the German Potato Pancakes and Sausage. It was a flavorful, savory, and filling dish. Very good IMO. My wife had the Apple Dutch Baby, which I would describe as an apple pie with a thick Crepe as the base. She consumed it rather quickly and had no complaints. She also had the Austrian coffee which she enjoyed. We were thouroughly satisfied with our service as well. The tall hairless gentleman was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the seating is a bit cramped, and despite being a family of 4 and the restaurant being nearly empty we we're seated on the corner right in the middle where everyone seems to walk by. But that's no deal-breaker. If you're curious about the food and thinking of going here, do it."

"I love the atmosphere, and everyone was kind. My only downside was having to get my dish sent back because it wasn't correct. When I received my new dish it was missing an ingredient. Still very good, and I will have to try more things. Love their mimosas"

"Might be wondering how fantastic service & atmosphere can be a 1 star? On Sunday morning May 19, 2024 I decided to start my day arriving in Spokane by having breakfast at one of my favorite restaurants, Old European. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak (yes, my go to) with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Unable to eat the whole steak as it was greasy and slightly funky. Finished the eggs, didn't touch the hash browns. Two hours later. I've got a scorching headache. Within minutes my stomach is cramping, I'm dizzy and going down for the count. Then violent vomiting. I don't know what has happened to this establishment but this was the WORST experience with food in years. Not recommended."

"For those that want a "European" breakfast this is close, but not worth the cost and specifically if your food is undercooked. The ablestuart's were raw and it seems that's how they come. Still the bacon strips look hearty and the good has good flavors"
