"We had been renting a unit for YEARS - random price increases through the years with zero warning to us. Finally moved out of our unit was assured that we would not be charged for another month but was, of course, charged. Went into the office and spoke with an Asian lady who informed me that the charge would be refunded. It has been roughly 2 months and still has not been refunded. Also, the gate at this facility barely ever worked (either gate issue or code issue) and any time we would bring this up the same lady would claim/imply that WE were doing something wrong. We literally OWN a local AV company that installs automatic gates so we are well aware of how they work and how to manage them. I do not recommend this storage facility."

"I have been a customer here for a couple years and in that time I’ve noticed a steady decline in conditions and safety. Most of the time the gates do not work or are left open. There’s been times everyone was going in and out of the exit gate which could have easily resulted in an accident. Aside from the gates, the sliding doors going in the building do not work a lot of the time. I was there today and the door I went in had to be pulled opened and closed, when you’re carrying items it’s not very convenient to have to pull a sliding door. Also there is a lack of carts, again I was there today and no carts were available upon my arrival, so I had to carry some things up but decided to come back another time as most of it was too heavy for me to carry. Most important is lack of security, there has been theft occurring here and its happening more frequently. Lack of cameras, the gates and doors not working properly all factor into this. The sliding doors into the building do not require a code to enter. At this point I am more than likely going to cram what I have stored here back in my apartment for safety. However the staff here are great and are always helpful when you need them."

"Have been renting here for years and unfortunately the facilities are not in good state at the moment. The vehicle gate has been broken for over 6 months. No one has come to fix it. Sliding doors are just open 24-7 instead of locking at night. I have run into vagrants at night a few times which is never pleasant since anyone can enter the building at any time. There used to be 12-15 carts for the building. There are now just 2 for the entire place… I use the facility every day and I’m now having a hard time just getting things in and out because there are never any carts to use. If ownership reads this, please fix these issues. The staff running the building is great but the building is lacking important investment to keep it up to date"

"We have had a good experience at Smart stop. Had 1 unit there for 4 mos for our things but then my son needed a storage unit so we recently rented a second one. I have been there many times and it has been a clean facility each time. The lady at the front desk has been friendly , helpful and efficient. We like that we can access our units in the evening hours after work . Rates are reasonable. Would be nice to have a discount for adding second unit….but overall satisfied with Smart Stop"
