"I was attacked by two black cats in my neighborhood to the point that I had to go to the ER. When they came out to trap the cats they actually ticketed me for my puppy not being registered with Collier County. The citation was May 15th, I registered my dog online the same day. did have a women reach out in regards to a Bite Affidavit. The original officer T. Bartareau never had me sign one. Only submitted ONE picture of the 7. Never asked me for my hospital records, etc. After about 30 days I received countless notices that I failed to comply. I left DAS and code enforcement three messages EACH. No one ever called me back. I did, however, receive my dogs license and receipt in the mail about a 3 days later. Today, July 27th I received code enforcement notice of hearing for this very same incident and Certified Mail from Growth Management for the hearing on my dogs unlicensure. How is one of the richest counties in Florida this defunct?"
"Called this number to ask questions regarding the flood zone and restrictions on a property... got transferred three times because nobody could answer my questions before finally reaching someone who could. Except this lady was the most arrogant and condescending person I've ever had the 'pleasure' to be on a phone call with. She gave me the flood zone information however could not provide information on any restrictions. When initially asked about restrictions for the specific lot she said, quote on quote, "Be more educated." Then proceeding to go on about how she could send me links to learn about Real Estate. Apparently she didn't know this information is public record and cannot be found through an article on "How to Real Estate." Completely laughable. I asked for another number to give me the information if she could not. I then spoke to Tabitha Cole and she was extremely sweet and helpful! She's the only reason I'm not giving this a one star."
"Building any project has it's complications. I too was once frustrated with The Collier County Building Department UNTIL I did some research. For instance last year after the Hurricane about 18,000 permits were issued. One can only image the number of inspection request that required. Here is a hint, each permit would have at least 2 inspection. If each permit had 10 inspection then 180,000 inspections would be needed. Once I gained a better PERSPECTIVE I gained an enormous amount of EMPATHY for them. Quite frankly they are working their tails off."
"I've been trying to reach the inspections department for weeks, and literally no one answers the phone! It's insane! I've left voice mails, and I've only had one call back, and that was back in November over a different question! The inspectors hardly even reply to emails. The operator is useless here too because she just sends you right to the same phone that no one answers. I just need help with getting an inspection scheduled, as the website is saying there are no time slots available, even when I'm checking as far as June of 2019. There is NO WAY you're booked to the gills until June of 2019. It's not even January yet! My company is losing money because I can't get one person to just pick up the phone. I've had this same issue for weeks. I have no idea why no one can just call me back, or reply to my email, or something! For the love of god please hire a receptionist or someone who can at least placate people. There is nothing more infuriating than feeling completely ignored when trying to get help with a basic problem."
"This driver is wreckless. We were both at a stoplight and I had right of way to turn right and this numb nuts speeds across two lanes to cut me off, when I had right of way. Then to top that off, he was going to run a red light, but decided to stop in the cross walk instead. (See attached picture and truck number) Someone should seriously talk to him and set him straight. This occurred on 6/20/2017 @ 11:20 a.m. Get it together Collier County, your standards are better than this!"
