Nestled in the heart of Naples, Florida, BaldEagleNest is a unique park and zoo dedicated to the majestic bald eagle. Located at 5068 Starfish Avenue, our sanctuary offers a rare glimpse into the life of these iconic birds of prey.
Discover the Majestic Bald Eagles
At BaldEagleNest, you can observe both adult and juvenile bald eagles in their natural habitat. Adult bald eagles are easily recognized by their striking dark brown plumage, white head and tail, and yellow bill, eyes, legs, and feet. In contrast, juvenile bald eagles display dark brown feathers with distinctive white patches and spots. Witness their transformation as they reach maturity and develop their full adult plumage around the age of five.
Experience Nature's Wonders
Our park is designed to mimic the natural environment of bald eagles, featuring forested areas for nesting and roosting, as well as access to water sources for foraging. The nesting season at BaldEagleNest begins on October 1st and continues through May 15th. During this time, you can learn about the fascinating breeding habits of eagles, from egg-laying in December and January to the fledging of young eagles around 11 weeks later.
Community Involvement
The City of Naples proudly hosts a known bald eagle nest within the Seagate neighborhood, located high in a pine tree near the intersection of Starfish Avenue and Seagate Drive. We encourage residents and visitors alike to report any new nesting activity to the Natural Resources Division, helping us protect and preserve these magnificent birds.
