"I’m a private caretaker that takes my patient here every Sunday to 11am mass. Lately my patient’s condition has progressed to the point where he isn’t able to communicate as well. On 7/2/23, someone was coming around with communion and was about to give it to my patient as usual, but because he couldn’t say “Amen” by himself, the gentleman took it upon himself to take it as “Oh he doesn’t understand, so I can’t give it to him” and simply walked away. He denied giving him communion because he didn’t say amen fast enough??? I wasn’t about to explain my patients condition to a random stranger in public and I’ve NEVER experienced this issue here before. I was shocked and genuinely upset that there are people at this church who still don’t understand that not everyone is “normal” when they reach old age. How insensitive for people of holy faith. Go someone else if you suffer from Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or dementia, these people clearly have no empathy."
"It's so refreshing to attend a parish with multiple excellent priests. The parish has many masses, sacramental services and classes, faith formation, fellowship and friendship. The makeup of the parishioners does tend toward older seasonal members. God bless our religious!"
"I'm the Deacon there so I'm a little bit partial."
