"Attended everything faithfully for 4 years, but once I got involved serving, was abused by a ministry leader who said I was not a good fit. I appealed to senior leadership but it was ignored and swept under the rug. I was totally caught off guard, blindsided, derailed in the middle of serving faithfully, told by countless church members, teammates and other leadership I was doing a great job. I loved serving and using my gifts, I had finally found a place I thought I belonged, so I was devastated. The worship team was my lifeline. I am a widow, cancer survivor, alone, and found such joy connecting to a team; even though they knew this, did nothing and allowed this to happen without just cause or a proper defense. I had team members willing to come forward for me. It was refused. After I appealed … No response at all, no care or love, no reaching out to me. I am trusting God who will hold them accountable and picking up the pieces now."
