"If you value your time and want professional service go elsewhere. We rented a condo through Accord Realty, 9814 Quinta Artesa Way, Unit 102 in the Sail Harbor development in Ft. Myers, FL. We did this instead of AirBNB because Scott Lodde from Accord said it would be cheaper to go through them. It was but because they had all the money up front we had no recourse. Lesson learned. Upon arrival we found we had no cable or WiFi, so we called Scott Lodde who was managing the condo for the owner. He told us the owner will not pay for this and we need to set up our own account! Well that was a cluster to be nice. Not being the owner the cable co. would not talk to us. And they said that the cable is part of their HOA fees. After many calls to Scott he came over and called the cable co. and told them to turn it on. The TV in the front bedroom is from the late 1990’s or early 2000, it did not work. We asked for a replacement, the owner said he would only replace it for a long term renter. We were there for 6 weeks. The mattresses are what we call “taco” mattresses, you roll right to the middle. There is only one set of sheets for each bed. The kitchen has some of the worst amenities we have ever experienced. The only fry pan we felt safe using was the wok. The iron is an antique and the ironing board is what you use for sleeves. The legs do not lock and it collapsed on me. Fortunately I caught the iron by the handle before it hit my foot. When I told Scott about this he told me they would handle this AFTER we left! There was no starter package in the condo. Not even a full roll of toilet paper in any of the bathrooms, no information packet to tell you about the complex. Tropical Isle Management is the most inept management company we have ever experienced. Kayla, the manager, never returns phone calls, only emails. She has a problem answering the questions that are asked. Instead of having the bar code for our car (which gives you access to the complex) in the condo upon our arrival we had to make an appointment and go to their offices to pick it up. When we get to the offices there is a note on the door that they are closed due to COVID. There was another lady there expecting to see someone to help her with her issue. So we knocked on the door and the window. Finally two ladies appeared. We got our barcode for the car. The security company Envera is not any better. Before we left for Florida we called them to get our name on the list so we could access the condo. I gave the gentleman the info three times. When he asked me again I said I just gave all that info three times now. He told me I was being rude and he would hang up on me. After many conversations with neighbors and people in the pool we found out that this has happened to multiple people. I asked why do they accept this. Please save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. These people do not care nor do they know what they are doing. And never pay for everything up front, you have nothing to negotiate with and they know this. Judy Herbst"
