"This company operates under three names. EQUITY CONSULTANTS INC. AND EQUITY REALTORS. ALSO EQUITY REALTORS. I RAN INTO STEPHANIE. THE REALTOR. FIRST SHE SAID THE LANDLORD WOULD MOVE ALL THE FURNITURE. THREE TIMES. I SIGNED THE LEASE ON THIS INDUCEMENT. THEN SHE TOOK MY REALTOR’S COMMISSION DESPITE ME TELLING HER FOUR TIMES THAT I HAVE A REALTOR. I WANT HIM TO GET THE COMMISSION. NOT ONLY THAT; she left me without a SPOKESMAN TO SOLVE THINGS. THE LANDLORD KEPT MY $3250 DEPOSIT PLUS $ 3250. Last month’s rent. EVEN THOUGH THE PREMISES WERE IN PERFECT CONDITION. BETTER THAN WHEN I MOVED INTO THE PLACEI . She failed to advise me of any of my rights. She never did one thing I asked. Property is at 1581 PINELLAS Bayway South. Landlord BILL MANN."
"Equity Realty is NOT the 5 star company it assigns itself! Steer clear of Robert Meyers who relegates it to 0. As the Real Estate agent assigned to me, from day one he used high pressure tactics to get me to bid beyond the asking price of a property saying that I would not get the property at the price I wished to bid. And, he wouldn’t let it go (it's the buyer's decision what he/she wishes to bid) and,he constantly texted and emailed me to the point of harassment to try to make me up bid in increments of $5,000 for an outdated cheaper 2 bedroom condo. He ruined 3 days of my precious vacation w his tactics and arguing with me. This agent also has a personality dynamic of creating chaos on the simplest of things, others might call it drama. I called the head of Equity to inform him that his agent, Mr. Myers was continuously trying to force me to bid another $8,000 higher and that I thought I was bidding against myself. The head pulled the record property up and informed me that the bank had already accepted my initial bid. I have proof to back this up. If this wasn’t the end, the man botched up paperwork every inch of the way (to say the least, not great at sending stuff to be scanned, signed and returned over the computer and leaving things out). Another issue w him was his carelessness in assigning a new settlement upon which he chose a Saturday! Again causing a good possibility of my losing the property under the contract terms. He constantly put the blame on the seller for every single problem of his own creation. At this point I was the one driving the process so that the contract expiration date would get renewed. He would then scramble and spend inordinate amounts of time on the phone w me, and this always seemed to occur on every Friday evening of the entire process. Again, he blamed all the problems on the Seller, Fannie Mae when it was he who did less than the minimum to move the deal forward. From the beginning the head of Equity told me to call him back if I had any further issues w his agent, but he never returned my 2nd call after he learned from me that his agent was having me bid against myself. The last week I dealt directly with the Title Insurance agent and Mr. Myers had her and his own boss spinning around at the end of the closing process. Stay clear of Robert Meyers - a chaos maker who has you bidding against yourself - and Equity Realty. From my personal experience, unethical and incompetent! The whole thing was nuts in the opinion of everyone!"
