"A complete waste of tax payer money. I have called this office several times. They are lazy and unhelpful. The people living next to me have about 10 cars parked in the drive way and yard, a camper in the back. People living in the camper with a washer and dryer in the yard. There are countless amounts of violations due to lack of care, but code enforcement wants to ticket the people who are making improvements to their property. This office should work for the people of manatee county to improve property. Instead they hunt the people who have the ability to make the improvements and ticket them, while letting people who obviously do not care, do what ever it is they want. If you’re looking to start a drug house Bradenton is perfect because the county workers can not be bothered to do their jobs. I spoke with a supervisor this morning and all the advice he had to give was “file a complaint” like I have the 3 other times. Claiming they can’t see the violations from the road. Again another lie, and laziness. It was a complete waste of time and he expected me to be all jolly and kiss his butt. He also told me that if they couldn’t see it from the road they can’t do anything about it. I have attached pictures of the neighbors RV that you can clearly see from the road. Along with a photo of code enforcement going into my other neighbors yard (who is building a new home) clearly going on to fenced property. So which is it Manatee County? Again nothing will be done, but they will continue to go after the people making improvements. I have called the county commissioners office and filed a complaint. Code Enforcement is a waste of tax payer resources and must be improved."
"The reason we won't be coming back. How about a warning before charging $50 for a parking law that isn't advertised and clearly not equally enforced."
"They pick on particular people and continually harass them They also harbor prejudices toward particular groups and have no problem voicing there opinions They practice discrimination You can correct the problems but they still will come back and cite you for a violation you corrected Very unbusiness like and rude they go so far as to hang up on you I believe code enforcement needs a clean sweep and hire people that will do their jobs honestly They are an embarrassment to the city of Bradenton They claim my truck is abandoned It has current tags and is insured There is nothing wrong with my truck I happen to be working on it You can see by the photos it is a good truck Craig Lyman is one of the most arrogant of the bunch He needs to be fired immediately He practices discrimination and loves to harass people Fire the idiot"
"The Officers I have dealt with are very helpful in resolving concerns. It's no surprise they have low star reviews - I mean, who likes a Code Enforcement Officer coming to your door?!?! lol If you keep your property in compliance, you wouldn't be in that situation. But, my experience is they are very quick to respond and handle the situation(s) in my HOA very professionally."
"There is a personal(large with fish in it) fish pond in the neighborhood of Whitfield Estates that has not been gated for more then a year, and a pool being dug without permits, pools filled in without permits, and code enforcement will not do anything about it, Sidewalks with debris on it from doing construction, Ben is the code officer and he does not return calls . What good is my tax dollars to pay these jobs and these offices if they do not respond to calls, and concerns that are not by the book?"
