"One of my biggest fears was going to a hospital that would make my depression worse. This was so far from the case at Bryn Mawr's psychiatric inpatient that I didn't want to leave. You get your own room and bathroom with different ambient lighting to choose from, the food is very good and you get to select your meals (as much food as you want), and the staff is outstanding. I felt optimistic about leaving because the doctors worked with me to make sure I had a long-term support plan for when I left. Because of how well we were treated, it really fostered a community within the patients. The world is a better place because of the people that work here."

"If your insurance is accepted anywhere else go there. To be admitted to the "psych ward" you have to go through the ER and no one should ever have to endure that. I can't put into words what I've dealt with in that place"

"Hard to say as my relative on a 302 and threatening violence, serious mental illness and homeless was never admitted. Rude, short-tempered interviewer. Even he was shocked. Just dumped on street."

"Have had two 7+ day stays in the psych unit. Most of the staff is very friendly and caring, and took time out to chill or power walk around the unit with me while talking over stuff. Things to know: - Hard to get in (they are almost always full) - No one-on-one therapy (which is normal). - Personal clothes allowed. - Phones available most of the day - Most rooms have 2 beds. - 3-4 Group therapy sessions a day including art and music therapy. - Outdoor time for an hour a day (when weather permits) - Regular group games. - Reiki available."

"I cannot get over how rude one particular woman acted when I called this office. I started the conversation to find if the office was in proximity to my son's school. Mid- sentence, she hung up on me! I called back and I said we must've been disconnected. Complete silence on the line. I say, "Hello?". She replied with, "I did not hang up on you, what can I help you with?" NASTY. Nasty and rude. The worst part is when you're dealing with mental health issues, you're upset and need help for a loved one and you're treated horribly is not what anyone needs at a time like this. I was very excited to speak to the staff in regard to an appointment with Dr. Foster. Many caregivers know how difficult it is to find a provider that will work well with your child. I can just cry. How condescending and rude. The office manager or doctor should have the staff take a class on customer service. What an upsetting day."
