"I was in ER on Monday with difficult breathing and ending Sunday. Everything went well, I was so tired and don't pay any attention to my personal belongings, they made me remove all my clothes just wear the gall to cover because of testing, finally Dr said it will be Saturday or Sunday discharge so I can going home, I was so excited and checked my belongings I find out my wallet wasn't in my pant but on my small backpack, I wasn't thinking anything but when I looked inside my money wasn't there even hidden emergency cash is gone too. I reported it to the security, but he said nothing he can do. I let it go, On Monday I took my daughter who in high school to notary papers and find out I missed 2 debit card, so I opened my banking and find out it been used both cards for thousands most from Boynton Beach and Ft. Lauderdale . I did call the bank to stop the cards . It's totally wrong I I wonder if Administration of great well known hospital known in was going in the hospital, the bad eggs try to steal the patients values while they come needing the care. I hope it didn't happen to anyone else. I'm reaching out to Admin to solve this problem. Thank you"
"I previously wrote a review highlighting 2 wonderful employees on 2 North. Yes, they are both excellent and stand out, but truly, the entire team on 2 North has been incredible. The only issue I have had is with the kitchen, but that doesn’t bother me too much. I have been in multiple hospitals, and it is very rare that you see a whole team that works so well together!!!! Go 2 north"
"The staff and medical professionals are first class .. Dr McDowell , ER, Dr Bashir and group are top notch and professional all the way. Nursing and support are extremely attentive down to housekeeping , Sandra B.E.V.S at 2C .. Rosa, Yvette, Deborah, Amanda, and all are always there! I'm not quite finished here yet, but have the utmost confidence I have the best care available."
"Went to JFK on Wed at 10;30 in the morning for kidney issues , high blood pressure and headache issues. Cat scans were taken in a timely manner but waited 4 + hours to get a room. I was given a room in observation area of hospital. This is where the problems started. My admitting nurse was Fritz. After all info was completed I asked him for a blanket since I was shivering. Actually I asked if he had warmed ones. He sarcastically said "not here". My first time here, but standard practice at most hospitals i have been in . I asked if I could have someone bring me one from home, since I was cold. He said it was allowed. I asked if it had to be sterilized or anything. He said no. I called my son who brought me one the next morning. Later about half an hour he came back and threw a rectangular shaped object at me. I said whats that. He said its your warmed blanket. I asked him for some pain meds for my kidney and back pain. He came back later and said oxycodones were approved. I waited for the meds. Several hours my headache was very bad could I get some aspirin for it. He got them for me. At 6pm he came around and said he was leaving ...shift change and introduced me to night nurse. I said wait you never got me the pain meds I had been waiting for. He said laughingly. "You got tylenol and went home" I said to the night nurse. "Hey he never got me the pain meds, can I get them?" She (head nurse) said she wasnt responsible for Fritz, but would get me some later. At 8pm my headache which is related to my blood pressure was severe. I called the head nurse,(employee #1372) to ask if I could get my blood pressure checked? She gave a curt answer that blood pressures are taken every four hours, and they were taken at 3 and 7. In fact she yelled around my curtain to another nurse if she had taken blood pressures and her reply was yes last at 3pm. I think I got there a little after 3pm.. I explained that my blood pressure was 212 when I was admitted and i was concerned. The clock in my room right in front of us said 8pm. I said that they did not take blood pressures at 7 as she stated. She made some remark about my being a nursing home patient. She might have assumed this from my having my walker with me. I assured her I wasnt a nursing home patient, and she seemed surprised. I said in fact Im a retired teacher and would not be ending up in a nursing home. I also told her that I would be writing a review and contacting administration about her rude tone of voice and professionalism. At that point her attitude changed somewhat because she realized that I would be someone who could do something about my treatment. I told my doctor the next morning I would not be staying there anymore and left. I did not share this info with my doctor. Very worried about future nursing home patients"
