"I bought my son there for the exam. After the exam I was told that he wasn't able to get his glasses. Because the insurance had changed. The office manager should have told me in advance that they could have only do the exam and not take care of the glasses. That puts me in a situation that I have to find a place that will fill his glasses. And most places will not fill the prescription from another vision care. I am very disappointed with knowing this. Even though I booked my appointment a week and a half in advance. And they could have told me this when I came in the office."
"I was very unhappy about how the front desk lady treated me. I had an issue with my insurance. She told me (maybe you don’t have insurance) which I thought was very unprofessional. The issue was fixed but she kept telling me I had to pay for last year. I told her to resubmit it. I had insurance last year. The front desk staff was very stressful. They would switch me from one side to the other all while answering other calls. It was a very strange experience. The only reason I stayed to be seen is because I love my eye doctor."
"Everyone was great I just had a shock when I went to check out. I had contacted my insurance for all costs associated with contacts before my appt but was handed a large bill and never advised that I needed special contacts that were not covered by insurance. It would have been nice to have this information before so I could have made a decision to either stay with my glasses (which is what I would have preferred at the time) or switch over to contacts. Being honest with your clients and offering them options is important to me. So I decided to try someone new!"
"I’ve been a nurse for over 33 years and good never mind great customer service in healthcare is sadly pretty much nonexistent anymore. My visit today at Visionary Eye Center was such an unexpected experience from beginning to end! All of the staff were friendly , professional , and respectful. I never expected to walk out of my visit today with my exam done , contacts in my eyes and glasses ordered in less than an hour! Extremely efficient while still being attentive. Best experience I’ve had in a long time. Great job Visionary Eye Center Team!!! Sincerely, Carlene Clark"
"I've been coming to this place for 9yrs, however the past 5 years the service and quality of staff has Dropped Significantly. I've had so many problems but this week's was the last straw. They take my insurance but they only had 1 pair of glasses that were supposedly my child's size. I questioned the sizing at the time of ordering but was assured these would fit him. Well, as you can see from the top pair in the photo, how far they had to bend the glasses to fit around his little ears. That's ridiculous. The thing isn't that my insurance only covers 1 pair in the store, but that as others purchased frames, the store didn't replace those frame sizes. The store has 2 locations, and my family always goes to the 1 location. I was called that his glasses were ready for pickup on a Friday, but I couldn't make it that day. On Tuesday, I called and confirmed that I was coming in 2 hours for the frames and his fitting. When I arrived, they said they didn't have the glasses. Upon research, the glasses were at the other location. I spoke to 4 different people at both locations and everyone blamed someone else for the mishap, but Not 1 person apologized for their mistake and the extra hour of running around added to my day. No one said I'm so sorry, and how can we make this right. While the other store is 20 min away because of my location and picking up kids from school this added an hour to my day. They also tried to charge me an additional $70 for a 6 week follow-up to make sure that they got his prescription correct. If you need a follow-up because you're not confident that you got your job done correctly, then that should be complimentary, not an out of pocket cost."
