Reviews
"Gene Carter and Otis Evans are well liked and respected in the High Springs area, When they owned and operated the funeral home that bears their names you were treated with love, respect and dignity. Not so anymore sadly to say. My mom Katie Hewett died on 1/24/2024, There was none of the love or attentiveness shown by the current staff of the funeral home as compared to Otis and Evans. The current staff and owners have a total lack of professionalism and customer service. If I could do over i would . I trusted the Evans and.Carters names and that's what the current owners and staff are banking on."
"TERRIBLE! PLEASE avoid, at all costs! Our loved one was at their facility for days, to be prepared for viewing. Unfortunately, they failed miserably, by not even washing the person's hair... they left dried up vomit on the long hair, which was all stiffened up unbearable to witness... leaving the immediate family in even greater pain, seeing that there was simply no efforts made, no respect had, no sympathy, or empathy shown. Sickening."
"100% recommend. Dealing with a death is nothing anyone wants to go through, but these amazing people helped make it less painful and so easy. They helped calm my anxiety, explained each step of the process, and assisted us in honoring mom Justin and Laurie are a true gifts and amazing human beings. Thank you for everything!"
"We met with the funeral director Justin Gordon He was very respectful and warm with helping us make arrangements for our brother We also met with Laurie who helped us with getting our financials together and posting a very nice link where she included a picture we sent her And info on our brother. They were excellent and me and my brothers would definitely recommend there funeral services Thanks again"
"Never hand over your Insurance Policy to them. They damaged my fathers face and the funeral home he was sent to out of state was very shocked at their services. They over charged from what they had previously said. Never trust them.... they do not do as agreed. I had to go and ask for a receipt. They were very hesitate to hand me one. After its all done I sure wished I had went with another Funeral home. If you do not want to be taken advantage of find a different Funeral Home than Evans Carter in High Springs, Fl. Do Not Trust Them With Your Love Ones..."
