"Unfortunately I wish I would have read these reviews ahead of calling Wyman Plumbing. We experienced the same issue with billing for parts and time on the job was exaggerated with our plumbing needs. We were informed it would cost between $400-$500 dollars and ended up getting a bill in the mail a month later for over $800, went to the office to discuss and was offered to reduce the bill by 1/2 hour by Roger which would amount to $68. The plumber sat in his truck for over an hour on his phone, waiting for "glue to dry". My advice, have your arrival time and departure time documented and get a firm estimate before letting them start the job, make sure they are not putting in extra parts that are not necessary and that you understand all of the costs. Very sneaky. Sad to experience..."
"We have been with Wyman Plumbing for more than ten years and have never had a bad experience. We needed three items replaced in our bathrooms which included a cartridge in the shower water regulator and new faucet. There was no way I was going to attempt to do this. I am happy to report that Tony was amazing in how he went about doing what he knows best. If he was an artist he would be right up there with Vincent van Gogh Dutch painter Regards, Andy K"
"I typically don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Wyman. I called to get a quote for a technician to come out and run a cable through the pipes to unclog them. I clearly explained that I needed the technician to get on the roof to perform this task. I was told by the representative that the first hour would cost $194, with no mention of any additional charges for that hour. I agreed and scheduled the service. A week later, I received an invoice that included an unexpected $75 charge for the cable machine. I called Wyman to discuss this discrepancy, and the representative was not only unprofessional but also claimed she had informed me of the additional fee during our initial conversation, which she had not. When I pointed this out, she rudely suggested that I must not have heard her correctly. Furthermore, she threatened to send my account to collections if I didn't pay the full amount. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. If the representative had been transparent about the charges from the beginning, I would have had no issue paying them. After checking past reviews, I noticed that other customers have also had issues with this same representative. It appears Wyman is not addressing these customer service problems. I will not be doing business with them again."
"My sewer lines were backing up in my old home. I had another plumbing company come out twice in 6 days because of a backup and they "snaked" the pipes. It worked temporarily but I needed something more. I called Wyman Plumbing because of their good reputation. Tony came out and was able to quickly locate my sewer pipes as I didn't have a visible clean-out. He used the camera to evaluate the pipes and then performed a hydro flush on the cast iron portion that is under the slab. The remaining PVC pipes were fine. He took his time and worked diligently to clean the cast iron pipe the best that it could cleaned but he had to be careful because the pipes are 65 years old. He then installed an in-ground clean out. My sewer lines are now draining better than they have in 15 years! Tony is very knowledgeable and professional and is a great asset to Wyman Plumbing. Hopefully I won't have any more plumbing issues but if I do, I will be calling Wyman and requesting Tony!"
"Called Wyman to reset a toilet and replace a flushing arm on a toilet. Appointment was for 10 on Thursday. Plumber arrived at 10:02 and left at 10:55. He sat in my driveway for over 10 minutes. I went out twice to find out why he was sitting in my driveway. He obviously was sitting there so he could charge me for an additional 15 minutes. This is dishonest. Parts cost around $25-$30 but was charged $70. Plumber did a good job, steep markup on parts, but totally dishonest about his time on the job."
