"Communication is terrible, office sucks, won't communicate or answer the phone. My home inspection didn't occur when it should have because they can't get it together, or communicate effectively delaying the selling of my home. The office people suck to deal with even the very little I've had to deal with them. Thankfully we recently moved. All I can say is best of luck if you're trying to do anything with permits and inspections because this was the worst municipality in the whole Tampa Bay area to deal with!"

"Great place to be"
"We are caught up in the Florida insurance issues with an old house. We need to have a new roof before we can get new insurance however because we have a permit pulled for a kitchen remodel we have been dealing with the city for 10 days now going round and round as they will not give use a separate permit for the house but gave one for the garage. We have been told we have to have our kitchen contractor revise his permit to add the roofer as a subcontractor and submit again. So we did, now the person is out of the office and have been told it may take 7 more days to approve the revised permit. We need a roof to get insurance! The last day of our insurance is today, the company's liquidated. The kitchen has not been started and won't be until we have a roof and insurance and I can't get anyone at the city to see the urgent nature or a roof in florida and the insurance problems not of my making. So we do bot have homeowners insurance after today after 7 years with the company and no claims. If something happens to my home in the before we're able to get the roof finished and new insurance I have to choice but to blame the city of st Petersburg for taking up to 3 weeks to approve a simple roof permit which should take 5 minutes tops."
