Saint Michael Shrine

"I have thought about going here over the years and finally got a chance to visit. There is a terrific little shrine outside dedicated to Saint Michael. There is also a small chapel on the site that is so beautiful on the inside. A very nice Greek lady inside showed us the beautiful alter inside the sanctuary, behind the iconostasion. The chapel is filled with beautiful icons and stained glass windows. I am so glad we finally got to visit."

"I went here on the recommendation of a friend after she shared a news article about it being a place of miracles. I didn't have a lot of time to stay and pray, but the time I spent there was well worth the effort. It's a small cozy chapel with lots of iconic religious art. Very peaceful."

"Saint Michael Shrine is a beautifully decorated, blessed holy place to pray and meditate. It is well-maintained by a loving caretaker who makes you feel like family. You can give a small donation and light a candle. The Shrine is full of inspiring pictures of Jesus, Archangel Michael, and other great souls. There is a small area outside with a towering white bouganvilla tree surrounded by benches. The mini-shrine outside has pictures of Steve and his family who witnessed his healing miracle. There is ample free parking behind the Shrine off of Grand Blvd. There is also a restroom in a small building adjacent to the Shrine. In the area nearby is Craig Park, with its Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum, and in the opposite direction the famous Sponge Docks. When you are in the Tarpon Springs area, make sure you experience Saint Michael Shrine!"

"Must see & experience. Visit and be respectful of worshippers. The shrine is a very small, beautiful and active place of worship nestled in a modest Greek neighborhood. Amazing tribute of a family's promise for a life saving miracle in their lives. Built on the family property and beautifully kept by descendants. Steady stream of neighbors attend and spend a few minutes reflecting. Take pictures quietly. Be courteous and generous."
