Reviews of CSL Plasma
"Donated at CSL today and met a young lady named Ty. She was very friendly and assuring. Made sure I was taken care of and thanked me for my donation. She is an indispensable asset to this team!"
"Most of the time i dont have too much bad to say here. Most of the staff is good and i like the changes that make the line move faster. Quana in the bay area today was an issue. She was talking smack about me to the donor right next to me and then she cashed me out but refused to unhook me so someone else had to after i sat there for a 5 minutes cuz she was unhooking other people that were done after i was done. Very unprofessional and wasn’t appreciated. I could understand if i was rude to her but i wasnt. I been coming here for a long time (probably longer than shes been employed) and get along with most the staff so this threw me for a loop."
"This location is something else but then again it's Cleveland avenue. They got some cool workers and I can't knock them for anything. However the wait time to get in the seat is crazy majority of the times and there's usually one person disconnecting (DC) a whole row of people that I feel is overwhelming at times from what I see. It can be structured a little better"
"On 4-17-24, I was attempting to donate plasma for the second time within a week. It was 5:50pm, and as soon as I walked up to the kiosk, the message instructed me to see staff. The employee's name was Latrice and Latrice looked into the computer and said that I was deferred for thirty days, because the last time I donated, which was this April 13th, two Saturdays ago, that they had to tell me to open my eyes too many times. I would have no problem with the reason if, in fact, it had been true . I remember specifically and I explained to Latrice that they did not tell me to open my eyes but only once, and I remember who it was that told me, it was the younger guy with the shorter dreadlocks that works. And he was working on this day as well. What's also interesting is the fact that this was the very first time this actual staff member had to tell me to open my eyes. On the 13th of April, it was Latrice who conducted my pre-screening. The person who inserted my needle was the light-skinned young lady, whom I told many times during previous donations that she resembles someone who could be Queen Latifah's little sister. Ironically, she happens to be from New Jersey. She's always been a joy to conversate with prior to donating and during as well. I wish I could say this about all the staff members they have working, but unfortunately I can not. Anyway, on this particular Saturday, I had on a pair of orange and black sunglasses. I suffer from post-concussive syndrome symptoms, which include sensitivity and/or low a tolerance to too much exposure to light and sunlight, and it gives me migraines, and therefore sometimes I end up wearing sunglasses at times most would consider awkward. Anyway, Miss New Jersey came to me about my sunglasses and told me to take them off. I honestly forgot I had them on, so I slid them down my nose so that they could see my eyes. The next time Miss New Jersey came to me, she had a frown on her face as if she'd been chewed out by a superior and just told me to completely take the sunglasses off my face. I said no problem and apologized to her for not removing the glasses completely from my face. After donating, I ran to the restroom and used it and then left the building. This was around 3:00 p.m. By the time I made it almost home, maybe about 30 minutes later, I realized I didn't have my cell phone and/or my portable charger. I remembered specifically pulling both items out so that Latrice could scan my barcode on the CSL Plasma app so that we could begin the pre-screening process. Of course, once again, when I attempted to call the location multiple times, they did not answer the phone because they never answered the phone. I've never had them answer the phone anytime I've ever contacted this location. When I finally made it back after 4:00 p.m., and mind you, the location closes at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, I knocked on the door, and they instructed me to go to the departure door on the side of the building to retrieve my devices. Another young man who keeps perfectly manicured dreadlock styles every time I've ever visited this location is the one who gave me my devices, and I remember saying I love you guys. So to add insult to injury, the deferral they refer to had to have happened on this particular day, because Latrice said the last time that I was there they had to tell me to wake up too many times; at least that's what Latrice claims she read on the front desk computer screen on the 17th of April. I asked Latrice for a printout of what she read on her screen, and Latrice responded by saying, "we don't give printouts of deferrals." Then she went on to say that people get deferred all the time. Then she went on to say if I wanted to talk to a manager, that I'm going to be waiting a long time. Latrice said that I would be waiting a long time to speak to a manager about 5 to 7 times. It was after 6:00 p.m. and that's the time they closed, so I was a little confused as to how long it couldn't possibly be; you guys were already closed. But in fact, it did."
"This is by far the slowest CSL plasma location I’ve been too. There is a line no matter what time of day you go. Even when you line up at 530am in the morning you would think since they open at 6 when you get through the doors it would be smooth sailing but no they are never prepared. No one moves with a sense of urgency. They have more medical screeners than people who hook up the plasma stuff. It’s frustrating especially when you see employees laughing and talking amongst each other when clearly there is work to be done. Plasma is not my main source of income so to get off work and stand on my feet for 30 plus minutes just to donate is outrageous."
