"It's a nice cozy place to have a small wedding. A Belaire officer gave my wife a parking ticket on our wedding day. I must say, that officer is a great law enforcer!"
"BelleairBeach government doesn’t really care about individual residents. I’ve had problems that I begged for help for and received pretty much almost nothing. Now they’re allowing a gas company to dig up my landscaping which I’ve spent thousands of dollars on. I am on a fixed income and I’m a senior citizen. I’ve been told that if The gas company ruins my property, I am responsible for repairing and paying for everything. There’s no justice in owning a home in Belleair Beach. I’ve had to put up with over a year of Construction across the street from me with new homes going up and they have inconvenienced me unbelievably- now one of the residents is putting in a gas line for his home, so he’s going to disrupt my entire Landscaping of my front yard, at no cost to him. I’m supposed to shut up and just pay for my own property damages that are caused by someone else. How is that fair? Just because there’s an easement, it doesn’t give any utility the right to dismantle someone’s property and have the victim pay for repairs and replacement. Beside digging up on my grass and possibly damaging my trees and bushes they also said that if they break the sprinkler system I have to pay for that too."
"Beautiful park - but they have been charging for parking ($15 a day!!) in all the lots that give easy access to the park and tennis courts. The lots are now almost always empty, I never see cars parked there anymore, just a few of the employee's cars (I'm sure they park for free). For perspective...The boat ramp on the other side of the bridge charges only $6 a day to park a TRUCK AND TRAILER, and between $2-$5 a day for a car. And yet, Bellaire Beach charges $15 a day for a single car space, no wonder no one uses it anymore. It's a nice place to visit, but apparently even the residents don't go there because they know they are being fleeced."
"So I actually was looking up the City number and came across these reviews. While I do not discount the experience this woman and her daughter had, I left a message for Patti to call me regarding space availability in the Marina. Patti promptly called me back, gave me all the details, and immediately sent the wait-list form. She couldn't have been more pleasant. Having owned a business in the City of Baltimore and having dealt with the City government on a regular basis, I am sensitive that these municipalities have very small budgets and are often forced to burden their employees beyond their original "job description" which can cause some days to be trying for them. I'm sorry that the other reviewer had issues, but I thought it was only fair for me to describe my interaction with Patti."
"Very rude staff! Patty does not know how to speak to clients or customers. Treated my daughter numerous times with extreme disrespect. When I called to speak with her and said "yes ma'am" she told me that she listened to me and I should now not interrupt her. I was being polite and use the term yes ma'am all the time. This is how every conversation went with Patty over the course of the last 3 months. We asked for dimensions for the tables and she acted as if this was so beneath her. We had to call back several times and each time she was short and rude and even sighed when asking her questions. On the day prior to my daughters wedding we were 6 minutes late to an appointment that was to last 30 minutes. Patty was to show us where the light switches were and provide the keys. She was very rude and told my daughter she could figure the keys out herself when she asked which key was for the kitchen. The entire time another staff member rushed her stating there was "someone" coming to meet her and he would be there any minute. This meeting took all of 8 minutes but yet she was highly irritated that we did not arrive early. After the deposit check arrived several days ago I have called several times to speak with a supervisor but only get put on hold for long periods of time. This last time when she told me to let her speak after saying yes ma'am I finally exploded and she hung up on me. (understandably) I called back and still can't get another staff member directly, Patty answers the phone and tells me I need to control myself and if I can manage to do that she will allow me to speak with the city manager. I have now been on hold for 22 minutes. Apparently Patty does not think she needs to be polite or courteous. I thought perhaps since she was dealing with young people when meeting with my daughter and fiancé and thought she could be nasty and act like a snob. I was wrong she speaks to everyone like this. As a professional I would never recommend this facility to anyone. I was able to continue to hold for 26 minutes for the City Manager Nancy. She was very pleasant but this still does not fix anything. When selecting the venue we read that other people said Patty was rude but felt we were easy clients and could not see why anyone would not like to work with us. Sharing, Brees' Mom"
