"Probably the most unconcerned transportation system around. They have my child walking to a bus stop 1.5 miles from our home before daylight. Good job Pinellas county and Ron Desantis for protecting our children and ensuring they are safe during their eductational experience! Another fine example of our tax dollars hard at work"
"I've gone ahead and reported this agency to the BBB, and foundations that stop childhood abuse and neglect. I'm extremely exhausted, burnt out, and saddened that it has had to come to this. You fail children who are special needs and those who are good children daily. As someone who grew up here and is now experiencing the same aggressive, victim blaming behavior with their child, as well as meeting many other over the course of this journey, I wished more of the county I grew up in to DO and BE better for their future by now. Extremely sad the corruption, our over worked teachers and students pay the price of."
"Dear PCSB, I am asking (and I will write a formal letter to the PCS board) to consider raising the minimal wage of 120.00 per day ($ 16.00 per hour) to at least $18.00 per hour as per the minimum requirement is 2 years of college. The City of St. Petersburg is currently posting "Summer Youth Workers starting at 20.00 per hour). The this line item in the budget need to be reconsidered. For us dedicated part-time quality substitute teacher it is simply not enough pay. We are in charge of 16-20 children for 7.5 hours delivering lesson plans, safety, and guidance to our youth in this county. When I am in contact with other tax payers/parents in this great community they are applaud at this low wage. Thank you."
"There is a review a few down where the person literally knows nothing about the truth. The schools implement equity practices (illegal) and refuse to accept referrals from teachers to hide true student statistics and school performance. Teachers are bullied by admin and then attacked by district lawyers our own tax dollars pay for when we stand up for ourselves and the kids. Admin breaks many laws, especially regarding students with special needs, and then refuse to make changes. Teachers are miserable and receive little support. They won't tell you that your child suffers due to their lack of addressing the behavior of others. That your child will not receive the help they need because the district won't or can't hire the teachers to provide it. Class sizes are illegal. How do I know? I'm a teacher here, unfortunately. Take those vouchers, and run."
"Was informed that my kids stops might be a further distance away and on main road because they are attending special programs. Acceptable. Was told they couldn’t go to closer stop last year bc they weren’t allowed to cross main road. Acceptable. This year their stop is 2 hours walking distance away and they have to cross a main road to get there! There are 3 closer stops but they don’t want them crossing THOSE main roads just one without any street lights and further away…… All they do is repeat themselves. Can’t cross main road… but they are, mehhh can’t cross main road. They don’t care about our kids."
