"No one never answers the phone I can never get anyone I've even had to drive to the office to get someone to fill my prescription in the past right now I've been waiting maybe close to a month to get my prescription"
"I was sent a reminder of the appt a day before and happily left work early and brought my family member with dementia in(which can be a struggle full of confusion). Despite a reminder text the day before, a front desk employee notified me that the scheduled practitioner was not in and that I needed to reschedule. I was dumbfounded that I was sent a reminder the day before, took off work, and brought my dementia family member in(of course she was full of questions and didn't know why her "doctor didn't want to see her"). The front desk is emotionless towards patients. I understood that her doctor wasn't in but absolutely no explanation of the messaging system and no rush to put her earlier in the books since this was a missed appt on them. I have worked in doctor's offices for twelve years, covering the front, back, and behind-the-scenes. I have been the same ages of the front desk while working in medical and I have never acted so disconnected or unconcerned. No apology was given on behalf of the mistake, no care to fix things was given. NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS: This is something I never thought I'd do...a compliment to this office. I am so grateful that when I called to verify that the doctor would be in for this rescheduled appt, Alta picked up and was as pleasant as can be. I told her what had occurred last time and she assured me that the doctor would be in for this appt and we confirmed the details. Alta apologized on behalf of the situation and I immediately thanked her because that is all the front desk had to do. She also explained how the messaging system can be. That's all you have to do. Put forth some effort. If you can't do anything else, make someone's day. I hope that the hiring staff makes sure their new employees always AIM TO BE ALTA. Or get a self-service check-in...about the same service."
"I would give 0 stars if it would let me. This "doctor" changed my husband's seizure medication that had been working for 10 years! For no reason other than to get whatever $ doctor's get from the pharmaceutical company for endorsing a new medication. As a result, when I was 8 months pregnant, my husband had a seizure while driving! He could've been killed! When I called the doctor's office and explained what happened (obviously very upset), you wouldn't believe the lack of compassion. They took no responsibility for their actions."
"I took my daughter to see Dr Epperson and he was wonderful. He took his time with us, listened to all of our concerns, and let us ask questions. He explained the possibilities and was very reassuring. He was kind, attentive, and helpful. His Nurse Practitioner was also great - thorough and personable. I had seen Dr Epperson about 10 years ago and had a wonderful experience as well. I strongly recommend him."
"No one knows what's going on or even attempts to read your file or take notes. Epperson isn't there to help you and diagnose any problems, he's there for that doctors salary. I was a patient of Dr Miller. I had a follow up appointment after an x-ray and they called me the day before to tell me that I would need to reschedule, but the soonest appointment would be over a month away. I REALLY only needed to talk to a nurse about the x-ray results. They kept my appointment but with a different nurse and had a nurse call me. When the nurse called she obviously didn't even read my chart bc she told me my finger wasn't broken, duh we didn't think it was... that was not even the point of the x-ray. She said she would talk to Miller and call me back. She called back when I was in the waiting room the next day waiting to be seen and said that I would need to see an orthopedic doctor. She told me to stay with my appointment anyways so I could go over results with a nurse. I stayed and waited for over an hour for a nurse who probably never even laid eyes on the x-ray to come in and halfway listen to my heart?!? And tell me there was swelling in my finger. I had to tell her that they were sending me to an orthopedic doctor, she hadn't even read my chart/file whatever yet again. Finally Epperson comes in and mocks me about what I told the nurse about my finger, then very condescendingly tells my there's nothing they can do that I would have to see an orthopedic doctor. I was beyond irritated, said, I understood but I just wasn't sure why I was STILL there waiting around and wasting my time when there was nothing they could do and I had already heard the same thing from 3 different people. He dismissively told me to "take off then" which I did because I had to use the bathroom at this point. A week or so later I get a certified letter in the mail from Dr Miller saying he was dropping me as a patient because of "downsizing." They are extremely rude, unorganized, are so ready to get you out the door, misdiagnose you, and just fill their fat pockets with your hard earned money it's disgusting. I thought Dr Miller was different but if he dropped me like that because of the way I was treated by his colleagues and staff I guess he's the same-- you are the company you keep. Update: 6/24/19 I thought I had a rare thing called a glomus tumor in my finger and that's what I've been telling the nurses and doctors what I thought it was. I went to an amazing orthopedic surgeon in Opelika, Dr. Hancy, and he thought that that's what I had as well. We did a MRI and they were able to see a mass in my finger. 2weeks later I had surgery to remove it. 2weeks after that the Pathologist confirmed that it was a glomus tumor! So Epperson condescendingly mocked me saying "psh so you think you have a tumor in your finger?!" And I DID! DR HANCY REMOVED IT. I SAW IT. PATHOLOGIST CONFIRMED IT. I had the surgery 3weeks ago and am still recovering! Jerk!!"
