"Just got a bill from 1year, 3months ago that says I owe money for x-ray services. I know my insurance is always on it, and so I questioned this because I’ve never heard of this company and why would they bill me? Well short answer they are Balance Billing. They have a contract with your insurance and for their services they are compensated BUT, to make up the difference they bill the customer. So always call your insurance. They paid per contracted amount and asked Saddleback to submit medical records, which they didn’t. So another 7 months go by and Saddleback resubmitted the claim again. Since then Saddleback pushes the cost back to me. Insurance said Do not pay, we will handle it. So if you get this bill. Call your insurance. Or you can send the bill back with proof of payment, or negotiate a lower payment if you are a cash patient. In the State of California statutes of limitation on medical debt is four years. "The billing is horrible, HORRIBLE!! it's almost a scam what Saddleback Portable X-Ray did to me. They invoiced me almost a year later (this service wasn't approved in the first place) and in the meantime when I tried to find out about what the service was for, they just sent it to collections. I reached out to the owner Tony, and I was waiting for a revised bill but instead, I got a call from Collections. Now they say there is nothing they can do. Now I have to pay penalties and interest and of course my credit!! is affected."
