"BEYOND HOT! Should not be housing anyone past first floor who had any sort of surgery. Everything sticky! Nurses and staff trying to accommodate but this is horrible. Took a shower to come stay the night with my husband and I feel gross all over. Not over exaggerating- hot! But we were given two small fans to hook on our bed. ER WAITING ROOM- that is a whole other animal in gross"
"I worked as a mental health tech and it was very disorganized! A nurse there name Christine was very rude and mean I would not recommend being a patient nor staff there because they didn’t seem to care about the patients well-being."
"There's so much to say. I came in with a thyroid attack and I've had about six total before and I know what it is. I was waiting five to ten minutes before I got a room, hands and legs cramping visibly in pain crying. Those attacks can lead to a heart attack and the two guys up front didn't seem to care so I told them do ur Effing job. And the guy snapped at me. "Scuse me? You will not curse at me" I'm am obviously terrified and he snaps at me like I chose to be there! The anxiety I got to that plus my thyroid issues, CLEARLY A BAD MIX! He was a 40 yr old white guy, wears a LSU cap. I get my room. Finally. All these nurses coming in not saying a word to me, I thought was a little insane. Then the doctor. I think hes Filipino?? Bald. He was telling me "oh it's just anxiety". Like I didnt know my own body! He asked "how do u know it's thyroid issues?" I tell him I was diagnosed based on those. And I tell him I've had attacks before. He asks "how do u know?" Like I told u I got diagnosed. He asks again! "So how do u know it's thyroid issues?" !! I was so mad my heart rate kept going up. I was astonished on how horrible these people are. I am very thankful tho to two nurses. An older lady with blue rimmed glasses, not even on my "case" and she still helped me, and another much younger lady who took my insurance and all that. The blue glasses comforted me. Pet my head and got me my blankets cause I was shivering. Freezing. I wasn't checked on at all but I was glad she came in when she did. The other nurse. So nice talked with me made me laugh.I am very much considering sueing this place. This was bull. I never felt so inhumane then I have tonight. Never coming here again and advising others not to."
"Had surgery last Thursday came in with complications at around 7pm went into the emergency everything was going pretty good until I was told that I was going to be admitted. I was in one of the big trauma rooms door wide open absolutely no patient privacy. At about 12am I called the nurses station and asked when was I getting a room and was told there wasn't any and I would be staying in ER til tomorrow I asked please put me in a ER room that's private when one comes available. Absolutely ignored I go to bathroom and I see several rooms with lights off. I was like ok I go back to trauma room which for one is giving me a time getting to and from the bathroom. My nurse really sweet gives me something to sleep and pain meds and low and behold soon as I go to sleep someone is brought in the trauma room and a complete surgical procedure is done. No privacy does Hippa even exist. They kept bumping my bed as well as I could not fall back to sleep. Once that patient left I had to cut up to be put in a private ER room. It's 10am the next day and I am still in ER recieved Ice cold breakfast at 9:30am. Have not brushed my teeth nor washed my face like what type of facility is this they claim no rooms are available. My daughter went walked unit 31 which is Med-surg and several rooms are open with no one in them wide open clean. This is totally unacceptable. Will be contacting compliance as well as patient relations."
"Worst emergency room. Beyond disgusting. They don’t even provide you with basic human needs. We informed staff that the bathroom in the cardiac trauma area was full of blood and feces multiple times. NO ONE CARED. They kept saying they would clean it but never did. My mom was never offered food but because we were with her she ate. The elderly lady next to my mom never got fed. We listened to her beg for food for 8 hours. The nurse kept telling her it was coming. It NEVER came. I ended up going get her food and feeding her myself. They put an IV in her and blood went everywhere. They left her and the floor covered with blood for 8 hours. That emergency room department is beyond unsanitary. As far as the staff is concerned, they treated my mother ok but the elderly lady that was alone next to us was treated so inhuman and they were just down right mean to her. Plus you get attitude when you ask any questions about your own care. The nerve of wanting to know what they are doing to you."
