Reviews
"This Practice is simply awful. All of my concerns with my high risk pregnancy were ignored or dismissed. Highly conerning news was delivered to me nonchalantly by a nurse who was unfamiliar with the issue and at no point was a doctor available to speak with me about the issue. It took a week to hear back from a doctor with an urgent medical question in myChart. The 'Care Specialist' spoke to me in an elevated voice and then hung up on me because she was upset that the doctor in her office cancelled my appointment because they referred me to Maternal Fetal Medicine for specialized care. Just unbelievable. Extremely poor communication in this office. I highly reccommend seeking care elsewhere. Preganancy is stressful enough, choose an office that is there to support you, not cause you undue stress."
"This used to be a good place. Now things have changed and the people working here, they don’t care about their patients, they have no courtesy. We been going here almost 5 years, had 2 appointments today, and they sent new paperwork by mail, never told us it needs to be completed before appointment. We arrived before appointment time, but was turned away because the paperwork was not done. I asked, if I can fill up while my wife is seen, nope, they said they have to cancel her appointments. Most of their good doctors left the place too. These people have no ethics or care for what others have to sacrifice to get to an appointment, taking off from work, driving the distance, finding someone to take care of child. I’m done with this place. I do not recommend this place, find a better place, where they treat you better. I don’t mind filling up paperwork, but it should not stop you from having a lab done, or ultrasound, or even being seen by a doctor. If they have up to date Name, Address, and Insurance. Why make a big deal about paperwork, that I being offered to fill out while my wife is seen. Learn some customer service and learn how other doctors offices work. We waited about a month for this appointment, to be turned away like this. I didn’t want to reschedule and wait another month. Trying other places. They wasted our time. This place is just not what is used to be, I used to have a 5 star rating for this place, I recommended so many friends and community members here. If your reading this, take your business to 2 medical park instead."
"The scheduling staff at this practice is horrible. I have tried for over a year to set an appointment to have an IUD removed, that Dr. Painter placed. I’ve been happy with her care for the many years I’ve been with Women’s Physicians Associates. I’m now in the position of finding a new gynecologist to have the device removed, which after a year of unsuccessfully getting an appointment, then getting one just to have it cancelled because the doctor has OB appointments that day, the device is worrysomely overdue to be removed. I explained this each time I spoke to a scheduler, and yet they did not seem to care about the health repercussions of letting the device remain in place. I hope I don’t have long term complications as a result of this unnecessary and highly negligent disregard."
"I write this review with a heavy heart but the demise in the standard of care here cannot be ignored. The negligence I experienced today is something no expectant mother should have to endure as an established patient with a “trusted” practice. I am 23 weeks pregnant with my third child. After having storage and constant pain in my left rib area for three days, I awoke this morning to a blistering, burning, painful rash that was spreading across my stomach. I called the on call nurse around 7 am who said I absolutely needed to be seen today to be evaluated but she couldn’t make the appointment. She directed me to call back when they opened but she would make a recommendation in the chart that I needed to be seen. Okay, fine. I called at 8:30 when they opened and was told I would need to leave another message with an OB nurse bc they had only one doctor today “post-call” and the OB nurse would need to decide if the situation was truly urgent and worth being seen. An hour later that nurse called back to say “I can’t diagnose you over the phone but it sounds like shingles and we advise you to follow up with your primary care provider.” I expressed my concern since at 23 weeks pregnant most PC’s won’t touch you for hardly anything and will refer you back to the OB (third kid experience). Also with the current omicron surge wouldn’t they be underwater? And it’s a holiday week? Would I be in danger not being seen? I was told she would pass it up to Dr. Goode but to pursue a PC doctor. On a holiday week. More than halfway pregnant. With possible shingles. And in need of treatment. It struck me they also never even asked me to send a photo of the rash via the portal to attempt to lay eyes on the medical issue. I called my PC, who is an internal medicine practice also through Prisma, and they made an appointment for this afternoon. Only to call me back a few hours later to say they can’t see me because I’m pregnant and I needed to see my OB. No joke. I tried. Several times. By 1:45 pm I get another call saying they can’t see me until Monday but the doctor would call me in a script. Again without ever laying eyes on me, my rash, or my unborn child. By that late hour, I had already gotten a family doctor, a dermatologist (!!), to look at pictures and diagnose it as shingles, called in a prescription (apparently time is of the essence with shingles) and I had already taken my first dose. I also had already called a new OB practice to establish care - and even as a new patient they gave me urgent care options for this week and scheduled me an appointment for my upcoming glucose test early next week. Now I recognize my immense privilege to have connections to a new OB practice and also a dermatologist to treat me ASAP. I am no more important than the next mother. Without these connections I would have been left with a doc in the box or an ER in the Omicron surge needing shingles anti viral medication. Also ironic that the stress and burden of care was placed back on me, the pregnant mother, for a condition apparently brought on by stress. This was once a thriving practice before the buy out. They have hemorrhaged doctors since then, including patient-favorite Dr. Boggs who delivered my son last year. Dr. Goode was also excellent to me in the hospital and preformed his circumcision perfectly. While I think their overall front desk and lab staff are less than friendly and professional, the OB nurses were always friendly once you were finally in the office, and all of the doctors I met provided great treatment last year with our first pandemic baby. I blame the machine of this buyout. It is sad that good doctors and nurses are being left with a practice in shambles. Everyone I knew that went there has since left in a hurry. They are going to get sued at this current rate - and they are going to deserve it."
"I have been a patient with them for a while now, Dr Boggs delivered my baby and she’s super sweet but as a stay at home mom with no family in the area, I have to get my boyfriend to leave work just for my birth control shot appointment right now (during COVID), because they’re saying I can’t bring her, and that is highly inconvenient. I feel like exceptions should be made for moms who really don’t have anywhere to take their child. And I’m also not doing baby sitters because of COVID so that’s not an option."
