"First time trying coconut shrimp and it was heavenly! The sauce you get with it (I forget the name but it was made with apple jelly) was so, so good!! Our server Stacey was awesome as well! Really fast service despite being a little busy."
"Just got take out from there. We were going to sit outside with our service dog, but the horse flies were too bad. We asked for our food to go. I left with the dog and my husband stayed and waited for our food. He waited more than 30 minutes after I left. I left 10 minutes after our order. So after at least 40 minutes someone from the kitchen was seen by my husband handing a take out bag to our waiter. It had been sitting at the end of the bar for a while according to the waiter. When my husband got back to our hotel ( across the street) the food was cold and my hamburger was over cooked and dry ie no ketchup or mustard on it. He told me why it took so long so I asked if they comped him some of the cost for the screw up and he said no. I tried to call them but no one answers the phone so here I am writing a bad review instead. My husband says the pecan flounder was good, but cold and I don't recommend the burger....I have had better ones at Wendy's and the service....well....you decide based on my story!!"
"Another visit to Bahama Bob's and it didn't disappoint!! We did an appetizer of fried mushrooms and they were wonderful!! The Shrimp Poboy ended up getting everyone's vote on favorite menu item!! Expect at least some wait time when you visit but the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is calm. The parking lot the restaurant sits in has about 15-20 (or so) parking spots and it is paid parking with a meter/kiosk down on the sidewalk, close to the beach access area. There is also free parking across W Beach Blvd. Definitely stop in and check out this spot!!"
"I recently had the opportunity to visit Bahama Bob's in Gulf Shores, Al and I must say, the atmosphere of sitting outside was great even on a hot summer day. The outdoor seating area was comfortable and provided a relaxing environment to enjoy a meal. One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional service provided by our server, Andrea. She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant dining experience. Her professionalism and attentiveness truly made a difference and added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. When it came to the food, there were some hits and misses. The fried pickles were good and served as a tasty appetizer. However, I was disappointed with the fried flounder. It lacked flavor and the batter was not enjoyable. It definitely fell short of my expectations. On the other hand, the Cajun crawfish tails were a standout dish. They were flavorful, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're a fan of seafood. Another highlight of the menu was the homemade corn dogs. They were absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. The corn batter was perfectly crispy and the hot dog inside was delicious. It was definitely a treat that I would love to have again. Taking everything into consideration, I would give Bahama Bob's a rating of 3.5 stars. While the atmosphere and service were exceptional, the mixed reviews on the food bring down the overall rating. However, I do believe that there are some standout dishes worth trying, such as the Cajun crawfish tails and the homemade corn dogs."
"Had lunch with my son today. There's was no wait to be seated, which was really nice. The server came right away to grab our drink order. Once we placed our food order, we didn't see our server until she brought the check. It would've been nice to have her follow up with us to be sure our order was correct as some items were missing. She didn't seem happy or engaged with her tables at all. Overall, the place looked really good, though. They did a great job of remodeling after the fire. We sat inside. Lunch cost us 50.00 for two sandwiches, fries, waters and 1 key lime pie."
