"Dr. Van Zyl was my doctor. I simply established myself as a new patient and asked some questions about a problem I was having. Dr. Van Zyl was condescending and told me my problem wasn't real, even though a neurologist I saw afterwards did. He is rude, insulting, and on top of that the office charged me $287 just to take my height and weight and as a few questions. This practice price-gouges and isn't transparent about how much they charge for their services. They also told me at the end of my visit that insurance covered the new patient meeting and that we were all set and I didn't owe any more. 2 months later I get a letter in the mail saying I have a late bill I owe them. They never told me I owed them anything, and didn't send me a proper bill even after that, only the late notice that I was not communicated to about. Do NOT go to this doctor. They are dishonest and misleading."
