Reviews of TGH Crystal River Wound Care Center
"They're on time. They do not keep me waiting. They're very good at making and confirming your appointment. It's easy and fast. They do not double book patients. When you phone, you get through, not a long recording. Quiet, although distant location. Easy in and out. Easy parking. No hussle and bussle. Efficient set up. One nurse, however, shows mild irritation with me. It's unwelcoming. She's ready to argue and a little defensive. The doc is somewhat glib. Seems barely interested sometimes. There's no effort on his part for human connection. His eye contact is minimal. His time with me is often minimal. I like and respect him, although he conveys the notion that he's not particularly interested. Maybe there's just dull clinical news in my case. It must be tiresome for them. One doc encounter was that he first gloved-up, contorted his face like he's thinking, said "hmmm...", stood an arms length away, never touched me, aloof, feigned talking to the nurse for 30 sec, then peeled off gloves and left the room. About 90 seconds max for encounter. One supposed that he mostly signs orders. Rest assured that the doc knows what he's doing. He might be technically among the best. I wouldn't know. I do not suggest otherwise. They don't like questions. I think they produce compliant people. This is modernity and a norm. Spirit breaking. The nurse's job is taxing entering data in the computer. One said how challenging it is to get measurements then remember it for like 5 seconds until she types it on the computer. Apparently it's easy to mix up numbers, she said. It requires attention. Who knew? They are a bit tense. Ironically, I'm in the way or a distraction to my care. Now let's look at it from the provider's perspective, to be fair. They're in a rural area and get a wide variety of folks with highly variable characteristics. The providers are not typically interacting with well-informed patients. Naturally they get comfortable with certain routines and don't welcome anything that might inadvertently challenge it, like a question. Some are not quite glad to lend a hand to me. I don't need a hand. But if I did, maybe I wouldn't get it. Instead of understanding one another better or learning something from this, I think that some people don't want constructive criticism. Something positive. One nurse who is a kind of director -- I'm giving a 10 out of 10. She was terrific to me. She was also sincere and didn't give nasty facial looks to me. We're skipping names to protect the innocent. Obviously, experiences varry. I'd rather they didn't and were just more or less in the middle and unremarkable. It would be easier to have less to weigh. Is this a learning environment where the organization learns, where it is interested in figuring out or defining the best quality service in the furtherance of built-in organizational development? Dunno. Let's see it from their perspective too. There's no code to bill for being nice to a patient. There's no icd-10 or procedure code to bill for being sincere and genuine. Some are so, some maybe less so. I can tell them how to improve overnight. Adopt an attitude at every moment to make the patient's day better, and act like that actually matters to them. It would communicate that doing their best matters to them. Easier said than done. Fail to do it, and plan to go extinct. It's undoubtedly foreign to them to imagine that how they might improve could derive from anything coming from the patients. I recommend to bring another person with you in the exam room. That usually results in better treatment because another pair of eyes and ears observe the room. Just say almost nothing and they'll be happy you don't interrupt their flow. The reason is because their flow is what is most important, not your flow. That's my second piece of advice to receive the best treatment, while you add to your burden as a patient with discomforts, to juggle peculiar provider personality quirks."
"All the staff are very attentive and caring . Ariel is the best nurse I've ever had! She goes above and beyond, and I'm so lucky to have her. I was sent to the hospital, and she found out and called to check on me. That's not a level of caring you see very often from the medical community anymore❤️ Thank you all for being so far above average in what you do. When you go through tough medical issues, something as small as extra kindness really does mean so much!"
"My husband received their care for 6 months. He had sepsis from injured foot. He was on ivs.he had home health 3 times a week. They worked miracles with him.he could have lost a leg. Arelia,Henry dr mo,mellissa and others were marvelous."
"My Husband James and I were referred to your facility by our Primary Care Doctor to check out a troubled wound that was not wanting to heal. The team consisted of Dr. Saint as well as a wonderful assistant named Henry. They fixed the wound effectively as well a different wound that occurred during treatment. It was great to work with these two terrific and caring people. Thanks to a great team."
"For my mom, Helen Greene: "I don't know what I would have done without Dr Saint and the staff at Bravera Health Seven Rivers-Wound Care Center. I had an ugly wound that looked impossible! But each visit made a huge improvement on my outlook and healing! Thank you to everyone for your expertise and pleasant bedside manner, even Henry! God bless you all!""
