Welcome to Di Santo Lisa M DO, located at 6776 54th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida. For over 50 years, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services as part of the Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group (DCMG). However, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our clinic, along with three others, effective August 31, 2024. Our last day of scheduled patient care will be August 28, 2024.
We understand that this news may be concerning, especially as you navigate the transition to a new primary care doctor or specialist. Rest assured, your health and well-being remain our top priorities. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all our patients.
Continuing Your Care:
- Insurance Assistance: Please contact your insurance company for assistance in finding doctors within your network. The phone number on your insurance card will connect you to a representative who can help.
- Medical Records: To transfer your medical records to a new provider, please follow the instructions provided below or contact our Patient Service Center at 1-727-584-7706.
- Prescriptions and Referrals: Until our closure, we will continue to manage your prescriptions, referrals, and any necessary tests. Your new primary care doctor will assist with ongoing healthcare needs and authorizations.
Future Care Options:
- Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers: Starting September 3, 2024, four new Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers will open near our current locations, providing high-quality, value-based care for Florida Blue members. - Urgent and Emergency Care: If you require urgent care after our closure and have not yet established a new primary care provider, consider visiting an urgent care facility within your plan’s network, such as GuideWell Emergency Doctors (GEMD). For emergencies, please call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest emergency room.

"Dr Disanto is a Primary Care physician who makes it abundantly clear that CARE is far from her primary concern. Need a speciffic medication that ACTUALLY works? Try 15 other medications first, most of which you've already tried with no results. Too poor to see an overpriced specialist not covered by insurance and have an immediately pressing health issue that requires some rest and a leave from work within the 6+ month new patient waiting period for that same specialist? Oh well. Can't help. Won't help. No Dr notes. No appointments. You should just stop being sick, I guess. At some point, if not already, Dr Disanto will very likely be directly responsible for an unnecessary and avoidable injury, or worse."
"I just got hung up on by the front desk. I have gone over a month without my medication refill, because apparently I need to come in to the office every 6 months (which has never been required for this particular medication) I’ve tried for the past few weeks to get in contact with a medical assistant but have been sent to a full voicemail box. In need of my medication, I decided just to book the appointment. The lady on the phone was short and unwilling to listen to my concerns. I asked if I could be put in contact with someone who can help me get a temporary refill and I was hung up on. So I will be going yet another week without it just so I can come in, pay out of pocket, and get a simple prescription refilled. This office doesn’t seem to want to help It’s patients, they just want your money. Edit: they called me back and gave me a temporary refill. Thank you for being responsive"
"Ive been a patient of Dr. Di Santo since 2019. Front Desk HORRIBLE NASTY ATTITUDE, as several posts listed. They make you wait for months or push you off to a NP. My Insurance pays for me to see Dr. Di Santo not her NP who called in the wrong medication, ( which means my history was not reviewed) Walked around with a infection for months because you can't get an appointment for months. I paid cash for my last visit on 7/22/21 in the amount of $107.00 only for her NP to call in the wrong Medication. Till this day, I have yet to receive a call from the DR. herself, for the mishap. I continue to get billed for a DOS I paid cash for. I had advised the Front Desk Person of new Ins going into effect as of he following month. But no It was billed, and the nerve to bill me for the balance. The office is a JOKE."
"So I am going to give an honest review. I can't say anything bad about Dr Lisa di santos, in fact I have had her as my primary for a year. I have never met her. They push you to an assistant or you have to wait MONTHS to see the real doctor. Then there is calling the office. I have never been able to get through and always speak to a call center, the pharmacy can't even contact the doctor for prescription refill. They don't hold themselves to any standard for customer service and don't really care about patients. My family will be finding another primary care physician."
"Full disclosure: I work here. I guess I'm lucky because the team I work with is the very best. I hate to see the negative comments. Seems like a hit job by the competition. I've had two cardo doctors because one left, but, new one is great. I just had an appointment with a new doctor, Katie Reid, and she's fantastic. On time and gave me her attention for the whole appointment. I've never had issues with my Rx being filled. The online portal makes it easy to check your information and pay our bill on-line. I understand patients are upset if their doctor leaves, but there are some great doctors still here and new ones like Dr. Reid are making the place even better. Valet parking is free Monday through Thursday."
