"The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, with bright new Table mats and organized displays that make browsing a pleasure. They have an extensive selection of games, from thrilling board games like House on Haunted Hill to Magic players playing Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, and Warhammer 40k, ensuring that there's something for everyone. I particularly appreciate how the staff takes the time to engage with customers, offering personalized recommendations based on your interests. Additionally, the store hosts regular events and game nights, fostering a sense of community among gamers. It's not just a place to shop; it's a hub for enthusiasts to connect and share their passion. The new owners have truly made it a welcoming space where everyone feels valued. If you're looking for a place to discover new games, meet fellow gamers, or simply enjoy a fun atmosphere, Critical Hit Games is the perfect spot. I can't recommend it enough!"
"Best Game Shop around! I've been coming here since I moved to the area a couple of years ago. The staff are all really friendly and the new owner is awesome! They have it all! Magic, D&D, and Warhammer are my favorites. But, they even have a hobby station in the back and board games that are free to play. Haven't been to any other shop that comes close in comparison. Check it out!"
"Comfy chairs, private rooms, well air conditioned, clean gender neutral bathrooms. Lots of games and accessories to browse through. This place has the right stuff. Even with a bunch of people the sound deadening is good enough that you can still hear conversation at your game. This game shop gets my recommendation if you're in the area. Edit: They are also upgrading the older chairs and doing a big refresh to the space. Just added a great hobby center with lights, cutting mats and I hear mini painting classes are coming soon."
"I played my first commander night here. It was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly. I also recently bought my first singles from them to start building a deck for modern. The cards were fairly priced and they were ready for me to pick up the next day. The guy that was working the counter was super friendly too and told me they didn't play modern but recommended another store nearby that played it regularly."
"Spent a weekend in St Pete that was supposed to be on the beach but the weather ruined our plans. Came across this game shop as a backup plan and it did not disappoint. The owner was so friendly and immediately welcomed us. They have lots of tables for people to play games, as well as a wall with a library of games that anyone can play for free. You don't have to rent table space or even buy anything to be welcomed in. We did end up buying a game to support this awesome game shop, but they also sold minis, paints, TCG's and accessories. He also let us know they have game nights on Wednesdays, although we weren't in the area long enough to experience that. But if you are, you should, because this owner was top notch and this game store was clean and welcoming."
