"People very friendly, lots of vendors, food is excellent."
"The guy working my line had a ball cap on that read "I'm not old I'm classic". Nope, he was just old. Stood in line for 50 minutes. He served one person while the guy working the next line served four. The sausage was worth the $5."
"We had a good time at the Elberta Sausage Festival. There were quite a few vendors selling food, crafts, arts etc. It was raining but there was still a pretty good turnout. The sausage was a huge disappointment. We stood in line for 20 min and paid $10 for each sausage dog for burned and very dry sausage. Unfortunately we didn't notice until we got home and was ready to eat. At first glance I thought the outside of the sausage was just charred from the grill which would have been fine. I cut mine in half and it was very dry and over cooked. The sausage festival was centered around their secret recipe German Sausage thats only available twice a year and it was a huge disappointment. It was not a complete waste of time because we did have a good time. The best part was the bake sale at St Mark's Lutheran Church. The baked goods were all homemade and absolutely delicious. If you like arts and crafts you will enjoy the festival but do not go for the sausage."
"great little town. good folks. nice park. many vendors. a roadkill buffet restaurant in town. a junk lady nearby. and a secret recipe for German sausage we love 2x a year!"
"The sausage festival has to be my favorite festival. The music, the food, most of all the heritage. This festival stays true year after year. There goal is to help there community. There is so much pride in this little town. Humble and small. My dad took me as a child. And will continue to carry the tradition with my children."
