"we rented one of the villas at Twin Shores for a year (110) and it was not a very good experience. The villa was newly refurbished which was nice. Unfortunately the construction and in particular the soundproofing on the bedroom wall was terrible - we could hear EVERYTHING which at times was embarrassing. Even the snoring was audible. Landlord promised to have it looked at and attend to it and of course she kept telling us she would but ultimately did nothing. We had red tide for almost the whole year we were there which was also miserable and meant you could never open the doors and windows and there were dead fish in the marina right outside the door which stank for months on end. We thought the view would be nice but the unit has no virtually no outdoor space at all - just a ledge so you really can't take advantage of the views. Absolutely no privacy. As far as the community there - it's old, And it just felt depressing. People were not very friendly. Parking was non existent for guests as some residents have 3 cars and therefore take up the only two guest spaces. The uncovered parking that is there is a real negative in the Florida sun. To sum up it could and should have been a better experience - we felt badly treated by the landlord. Even so the place has more negatives than positives. More suited to a short stay."
