"To whom it may concern we rented a car for our family vacation from the Orlando Sanford airport. After receiving the car we noticed the smell of smoke throughout the car and a lack of detailing. However the real issue was that there was something dragging on the bottom of the car right when we got on the highway. It was a plastic piece that covers the undercarriage of the car. We immediately called roadside assistance told them where we were driving to and to try and set up an exchange. We had to call 5 different times just to finish the process. We then drove to the location where they said we could exchange (this was a 30 minute drive from our air bnb). When we got there they told us they should not have sent us to that branch because it is a smaller one and they didn’t have any cars available. We called again and they said they would escalate the issue to a manager and call us back. We asked for an eta on the call back and they said about an hour. We waited for OVER a day. He called and left a message. I called back 5 times only to have a phone number with NO way to leave a message. We traveled to Sarasota so I tried one more time at the airport. When I explained the situation the manager said they would have to file a claim and it would go on my insurance and I would have TO PAY my deductible?!?!! Something was wrong with the car we tried to report it and exchange it multiple times and know you’re going to charge me and my insurance?!?! This is the worst experience with a car rental we have ever had."

"My favorite thing about this experience is they did not try to up sell me. What I asked for is what I got. However there were more areas that they were above and beyond. My checkout process to get the car was fast and friendly and they had a large variety of cars for me to choose from. Once we selected our car I was pleased to see this was a very nice vehicle in like new condition. It was also extremely clean. The check in process was also just as easy. We pulled in. The guy did a quick inspection. We handed him the keys and we were on our way. I have dealt with other car rental places and these things are not as common as they should be. I would definitely recommend using National and I will be using them from here on out."

"Picked up reserved vehicle at Sarasota-Brandenton airport at 3:30 pm on Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Paperwork took only 5 minutes and I was in car on my way. Vehicle was clean and in good repair. The return on Sunday morning at 5:15 am quick and an attendant was there to check in vehicle. Yes, there are other rental companies that may be less expensive, but my positive experiences with National always justify the added cost."
