"I would have given this place zero stars, but I feel like their employee Shawn earned them a one star back... I went in for a service to resolve harsh shifting in my transmission. They had my car for 11 days without any updates each day telling me it was going to get looked at the next day. claimed to have fixed my issue and test drove it to confirm - yet there was no mileage accrued and the only said it was completed and repaired after I called and told them I was picking it up to take to a different service location. They told me my warranty covered a rental car, and then afterward I finally got my car back and ask them how to get reimbursed for the rental - told me that I needed to submitted the reimbursement request online and when I did it was rejected and the service rep from Ford told me Autonation had no idea what they were talking about and never should have told me that. So after $400 dollars in rental car costs there were not improvements. The transmission continued to shift more and more harshly.. I then gave them a second chance because they have a new service manager. I hoped things would change. I will say that it’s definitely better, but was still a terrible experience. This time they did in fact test drive it, and I got my car back after 48 hours. But now they claimed there was no issue to resolve even though the harsh shifting was more dramatic than last time when they “confirmed” the issue and “resolved” it. One of the mechanics Shawn was very kind and probably the only person in that building that’s given me the time or energy and actually try to provide solutions to my issue. He even said that it was weird that they told me “they couldn’t do anything” because there were things that could be done, but then the manager came out and said “it’s normal for the shifting to be so harsh in this model and there’s nothing else he could do”. Ironically the car is driving better so maybe they did the software update they claimed to have done the first time and were covering their tracks from the first fiasco. Either way, long story short, Shawn is excellent, but I won’t be going to AutoNation Ford Bradenton ever again. Truly one of the most disappointing experiences in my short time as a Ford owner."

I am also pleased with all the work that was done on my truck, so props to the mechanics. All in all, I am 100% satisfied with my experience with AutoNation Ford in Bradenton."
