Budget Car Rental

"Arrived for rental was brushed off by woman at counter who said she didn't have the van I rented. Had one truck, went to look at it and it was dirty with water bottles and trash, unvacummed. I asked for cancel and refund. She said she couldn't refund because I prepaid. No apology, no customer service, bad attitude."

"My rental was dirty and spotty. There were water spots around the gear shift and other reflective surfaces. Sand-like material in floorboards like it wasn't vacuumed. When I rented it the tire light came on for air in the back driver-side tire. I had it filled at Tire Kingdom while on my vacation then when I came back to drop it off it was on again. I told the woman at the kiosk about it and she claims she wouldn't rent it out until it gets looked at. I hope so we could have had a blowout on the road. None of the tires had caps over the air valve either. The rep at the Kiosk was unprofessional too and we are still waiting on a credit for pre-paid gas credit. When I came she told me she could see I pre-paid for gas but it wasn't showing in "Her" system. So I had to buy gas again before I dropped it off and then she would refund the charge. We are still waiting on it. I cannot believe I paid for this pre-paid for this rental. I will never do that again without seeing the vehicle first. "Absolutely abhorrent treatment. I had a rental reserved for 4pm for a 1 way rental while my car was in the shop to go take care of my mom having surgery tomorrow morning. They called me at 3:55 telling me that the airport location came and took all their cars and there was nothing they could do about it. I asked them to call the other location for me as I was stranded at the repair shop and needed to know where to Uber to. They would not call and told me to call the Airport location. I called airport and explained what happened to the manager. He put me on hold to "check the inventory" and then hung up on me and I got an email saying my reservation was canceled. Then I called corporate to see if there were any other locations they could find me ANY vehicle and I spoke to customer service. The CSR could care less and put me on hold for 25 mins and never came back. I was not able to select any other button to get back to a person and was left stranded by 3 different budget employees. What a disgrace. Absolutely unacceptable to leave a woman stranded like this with no notice. Also of course this was at 4-4:45 so by the time I got off the phone with customer service I couldn't get a car from any other rental place either because everyone was now closed."

"Budget called me 30mins before I was due to pick up the car to tell me they had no cars available. The woman said that the web site does not check availability. Ten days later I checked my credit card account to find there had been no refund of the pre-paid amount they had charged. I had to phone and get a refund for them. Their excuse, they must have been busy that day. Con or incompetence? I will not be using them again!"

"Great location and it is pretty fast. The only thing that I would improve is more clear information on where to drop off a car if you did not rent it from there originally. You have to drop it off on the third floor of the covered garage that is in the back part of the mall. Like I said, if you did not rent the car from there you would never know where to drop it off!"
