Reviews
"Cedar Key Beach has a lot of potential, but there are a few things to be aware of. The water can look like dirty swamp water, and when you get deeper, the sand feels like mud, which is pretty unpleasant. The beach sand isn't as pristine as it appears in photos—it's a bit dirty with some trash around. Also, be careful of the shells; they can cut your feet if you're not cautious (I learned that the hard way). Despite these issues, the beach still has a nice atmosphere and could be enjoyable with a little bit of improvement."
"We looked long and hard for a dog friendly beach. It was their first time swimming ever. Not crowded or loud. There's also shade for the pups. A nice small beach."
"This place is beautiful and clean you can walk and practice yoga, meditate whatever you want …walk your dog…Oh by the way, don’t forget you pick up your garbage, let’s keep it clean!"
"The beach itself is great but this whole town is just - too cool. There is still some damage from the last hurricane but Cedar Key , even on a rainy day is beautiful old coastal Florida at it's very best."
"Nice cozy beach next to the boardwalk with all of the restaurants and shopping. Very nice pavilion and restroom facility and a huge playground for the little ones. All of the areas of the beach playground and restrooms appear to be well maintained. There is a sectioned off swimming area along with a place to rent kayaks and other boats."
