"If I could give a negative (-5) star rating on the dealership, I would. I recently purchased a vehicle from Verena Automotive on April 27, 2024. On May 19, 2024, 3 weeks later, the check engine light came up on the dashboard. I went to Advance Auto parts and O'Reilly to have them scan the engine to see what the issue was. I received MULTIPLE readings regarding transmission issues which I have attached in this post. Doing my due diligence, I contacted various transmission places and was told that the vehicle had all of these issues prior to me buying the car as transmissions don't start failing within 3 weeks of purchase. I immediately contacted Verena and paid for the towing out of my pocket as I didn't want to damage the transmission. The next day they called me and said nothing was wrong with the vehicle and miraculously the check engine light was no longer there. However, I have a Bouncie device that reads the engine as well and it still indicated a transmission error. So I came up there and told them I was going to take it down the street to have AAMCO look at the transmission. Before giving me the keys, they had their mechanic to "check the vehicle out again" and he came up to me and let me know they reset the error codes and that there is NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND IT RUNS GREAT. I wasn't going to let them pull wool over my eyes and took the car immediately to AAMCO and they said the dealership cleared the codes so they were unable to read any errors on it and would need to open the transmission up to see what was going on. After having the transmission opened, they informed me that the transmission was failing and it would cost me $4500 to rebuild it. I contacted Verena about this issue to see if they would do the right thing and fix the vehicle they sold me with a failing transmission that they had their mechanic to inform me of no errors. We called them on numerous occasions where they gave us the run around for a week about the manager not being available and NEVER CONTACTED US OR FOLLOWED UP WITH ME on the issue. I had to go ahead and pay an additional $4500 to get the vehicle back on the road as I need the vehicle for my job and livelihood. Verena has a Christian and holy persona throughout the dealership (Christian photos and music) but nothing was Christian like for them to ignore me knowing they sold me a lemon that cost half of what I paid for the car. I do not recommend anyone to buy any vehicles from them unless you bring a mechanic with you to check out everything on the car, especially the transmission as they know how to clear codes and make the car undetectable for outstanding issues. Do not let the 4.0 overall rating they have fool you as it did me as I went to the lowest ratings after this happened to me and saw they have sold lemon cars to other people in the past. Please do yourself a favor and read the 1 star ratings and run fast from this dealership as they just want to sell you a car regardless of present issues. Everything that glitters is not gold with this dealership!"
