About the Business
Welcome to Good News Honey!
Nestled in the heart of Port St. Joe, Florida, Good News Honey is your local source for pure, authentic honey that is as rich in history as it is in flavor. Located at 301 South Canal Drive, we are proud to offer you a taste of our Promised Land, where our bees work tirelessly to produce the finest honey you'll ever taste.
Our journey began with tapping Flow Hives to harvest what we lovingly call "liquid gold," now available in beautifully labeled bottles. Our honey is not just a sweet addition to your pantry but also a natural remedy known for its medicinal benefits, from alleviating seasonal allergies to soothing cuts and burns.
We are blessed with a supportive community, including our #1 salesman, Keith Nixon, who graciously hosts an honor box in his front yard. We invite you to stop by, say hi, and pick up some of our renowned Authentic Tupelo Honey or perhaps try our Hot Honey. You might also discover our Blackberry Honey, unique books, and adorable baby bears.
To make it easy for you to enjoy our honey, we have placed four Honor Boxes throughout the area:
- Near the hives at the Red Barn: 2104 Hwy 98, Mexico Beach, FL 32410 (corner of 21st Street & Hwy 98)
- 523 4th Street, Port St. Joe, FL 32456 – just a couple of blocks off Reid Avenue
- Across from Driftwood Inn, where our friends love having Tupelo and Wildflower honey at their fingertips
Simply pull up, select your favorite honey, and leave your payment in the top slot. While there, don't miss the chance to purchase our book "Hurricane Honey, a Survivor's Story," an inspiring tale of resilience.
Our Tupelo Honey comes from the unique Tupelo trees found near the Apalachicola River Basin. These trees thrive in swampy environments, making the honey truly extraordinary and ensuring it never crystallizes. Our bees, true survivors, have even inspired songs and films, like Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey" and the movie "Ulee's Gold."
Join us at the local Port St. Joe farmers market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays to hear more about our story. Learn how our bees not only survived Hurricane Michael but thrived, producing what we proudly call 'Hurricane Michael Ground Zero Survivor Honey.'
Whether you're here to buy honey, purchase our book, ask questions, or share your story, we would love to hear from you. Visit us at 301 S Canal Dr., Port St. Joe, FL 32456, and experience the sweet, resilient spirit of Good News Honey.

Reviews
"Always fresh honey at fair price. Buddy is a wonderful guy"
"I was fortunate enough to grow up in PSJ FL as well; and had a neighbor that was a bee keeper of Tupelo honey. There is something to the allergy resistance by taking the Tupelo honey if you suffer from pollen. I have had a bottle of Tupelo honey for over three years, and it is a fact that the honey does not crystallize, and has remained in my pantry for all of that time. Good product, Good man, Great cause. I order his book and honey."
"Great product! Website is adorable! Buddy is a wonderful man- helping others in need! The honey is local- great for allergies! I use it with as many recipes as possible... He also has an e book published!"
