"My interaction after a purchase from Voema Boutique in The Wharf shopping area in Orange Beach AL was unfortunately less than ideal. Although their fashion styles are eye catching and appeal to a fashion forward crowd, that seems to be where Voema as a business stops. While on vacation, my daughter fell in love with a dress. We purchased the item for her and went on our way. However, after wearing the dress once, and following the directions for care, “hand wash” and no dryer, sadly the dress shrank pretty significantly. As I attempted to reach out to the business, I encountered my first problem, no internet presence. The web address doesn’t give you anything, sadly. A phone number is not to be found. Instead , one can only reach the company via social media messages…I used Instagram. When I explained the issue to see what options are available, hoping the business would stand by the quality of product, I was met with a response that nothing could be done, as the suppliers do not take returns. As a consumer, a business doesn’t bode well when the buck is passed to a faceless entity as a “supplier”. they seem to be a new and upcoming business so I hoped the service to assist would be outstanding, but sadly it fell extremely short. Update: A reply wasn’t warranted. Your inability to assist was more than enough to know my business is not welcome. The stunning part is the justification of a product one of your consumers identified as sub par. The fact of hiding behind “industry standards” for selling something sub par is discouraging and disappointing. I didn’t ask for a refund or exchange. I asked what could be done to remedy. If one chooses to keep a quality business, thinking outside the box is required."
