"We had a lovely stay at the Baseball Town Motel. You could not ask for a better location in downtown Cooperstown. It is literally next door to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and just a couple of blocks away from Doubleday Field. The souvenir shop downstairs is a gem, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. We got excellent recommendations from the friendly owners, who are great ambassadors for the town. The motel is very well kept, and looks like it has undergone renovations. The second floor suite we reserved for the first part of our stay was booked over the weekend, so we made two reservations. We stayed in a third floor suite for the remainder of our stay. Both rooms were very clean, well stocked with linens, and quite peaceful when we were there during the week. Suites have refrigerators, a microwave, as well as a Keurig style one-cup coffee maker. Standard queen or double rooms do not have a fridge or microwave as far as I know. Bring an alarm clock with you, or use your phone to set your wake-up time. And just so you are aware, you will hear people walking down the hallways and up the stairs, so be a quiet guest if you can :) This is an older building. There are no elevators here. Be prepared to walk up the stairs. There are stairwells at the front and back entrances of the hotel. Check-in is at the souvenir shop. After hours, call the number provided on your reservation to make arrangements to get into your room. Hotel guests are provided one parking spot per room in the back of the hotel. Another bonus, there is a coin operated laundromat two blocks down from the hotel, right next to Doubleday Field. Metro Cleaners opens at 6 am each day. Bring lots of quarters. Washers range from $4.00 to $6.00 per load. Dryers, probably a couple of dollars more. Highly recommend the Baseball Town Motel!"
"Location was perfect for everything! Store was amazing. Lotsa great memorabilia in there. Maybe the best shop in town. Motel location is great, however it has paper thin walls. No fan in the bathroom and a tiny bathroom make it tough to get comfy and do your business with your loved ones nearby. Floors and steps are very creeky and you can hear everyone walking anywhere. If someone talks in the hallway, you'll hear it. Location was still perfect!"
"Not fancy, but worth staying here. We had an issue with the AC leaking into the room. It was fixed first thing next morning. Very close to everything in Cooperstown. The check in process could use some fine tuning."
"Understand it's a motel and the premium price is for location and your expectations will be exceeded. Clean rooms, comfy enough bed, but not much in the way of amenities. Spent two days here in the off-season and would absolutely come back."
"This is a perfect hotel to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. The rooms are clean, and you are literally a stones throw from the Hall. The walls are not soundproof as this is an old building with character and charm. No pool, no breakfast, no elevator. But I still loved it. I was here to celebrate baseball and visit this lovely town and this hotel is right in the center of action. The ownership is super friendly and the gift shop below is a fan’s dream store!!"
