"We have been staying at Portobello Inn annually for about 15 years when we visit family in the region - because staying here we feel like family! Roland and Steve are warm and gracious hosts. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the house has plenty of comfortable chairs to read in, a piano, antiques and other gift items for sale, delicious breakfasts and did I say how warm and gracious the hosts are? It's conveniently located midway between Herkimer and Little Falls. There is a spacious yard to relax in out back. You'll feel welcome and at home at the Portobello Inn."

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Portobello Inn. Roland was extremely accommodating and made us feel like we were home for the four days we stayed. Steve was delightful the one morning he joined us, telling us historical facts about the area and the Inn. It is a beautiful home which has many unique touches, and fantastic door stops. "Even before we arrived I knew we would feel welcomed. Roland and Steve have set the standard very high as thoughtful and accommodating innkeepers. The inn itself is an architectural gem that captured and kept our attention during our all too brief stay. The guest rooms were immaculate and decorated with a lovely mix of new and antique furnishings and decor. The breakfast, prepared by Roland, deserves a five star review of it's own.
