"Richard failed miserably in his role as a real estate agent. He failed to maintain integrity and to communicate in an honest and forthright manner. Instead of accepting responsibility for messing up in his most recent one star review, Richard attempts to deflect blame by claiming he was misled as to who was renting the apartment in Nyack he was representing at an open house. I know, because I WAS THERE! He was not deceived in any way, shape, or form. If he was confused (as he still is today), he could have simply picked up the phone to request clarification. Instead, he did the worst thing he could possibly do. He called the prospective tenant and congratulated him on getting the apartment. He then, without further communication, pulled the rug out from under the tenant (who is disabled), and gave it to someone else. That shows a complete lack of integrity. Even to this day, Richard still thinks the real estate agent representing the disabled brother was representing the other brother. All of this could have been avoided had Richard done the right thing and picked up the phone to understand what he clearly was unable to, and to not be paranoid that someone was trying to get over on him. For shame, Richard, for shame."

"I have a brother who is disabled and needs my help. I viewed and found an apartment for him, and provided Richard with documentation of my brother's excellent credit rating, a landlord reference letter, guaranteed rental payment by a Catholic social services agency, and my own financial contracts to verify my role as a secondary guarantor. He called my brother and told him his application was accepted and the apartment was his. The next day, he reneged on the acceptance, claiming he thought I was my brother. He did all this without contacting me to clear up any misunderstanding he may have had. The standout difference between me and my brother is that he is disabled, and I am not. A complaint will be lodged with the NYS Division of Human Rights. It is against the law to discriminate based upon disability."
