"Stay far away. Peter Byron is a thief with a real estate license. We were in negotiations on a home with an appraisal contingency in place. When the appraisal didn’t meet the requirements we decided not to move forward. Peter and his client are still trying to keep our 10k deposit since September! Threatening us to go into mediation. We now had to get our attorney involved. Very unethical agent and I would take a guess we are not the only ones who have dealt with this scenario. Thanks for the follow up. Yes, I am aware of the “as is”commitment which was contingent upon a 350k appraisal if you recall correctly. My appraisal came back at 335k. That alone allows me to legally walk away. Refreshing your memory, they re-appraised and it still landed at 340k which is under the contingency agreement. Therefore there is nothing to dispute. However, I am now incurring legal fees in order to get my money back. That is what is unethical. Appreciate any efforts you can do to please get me my money back before the Christmas Holiday."
"Friendly, personable staff with an incredible attention to detail. Peter himself went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. Will definitely be back to work with him."
"Peter has worked with me and my family for 2 years helping us get situated in Lake Ariel and has been very helpful every step of the way. Helped us get exactly what we were looking for with no issues Highly recommend Peter Byron!"
"Very professional, highly recommended. The agent we had, Peter Byron, was with us every step of the way. He guided us through the entire process and had immediate answers to any and all of our questions as first time homebuyers."
"Can’t speak for the entire agency but the agent that we dealt with Peter Byron did not meet the expectations of a property manager. The house we stayed in had not heat, and n the coldest day of the year to date, January 14-15 2022. We notified him as soon as we realized the heat wasn’t working and he asked that we send him pictures of the thermostat. We did and did not hear back from him at all even though we followed up with text messages and phone calls. The security desk from the community also tried contacting him multiple times to no avail. We told him that we had infants and toddlers in the house and that some of our guests were leaving to go to a hotel for the night and he still did not get back to us. In the morning after calling him again he finally responded and finally came to the house at 930 to inspect and “solve” the problem. His resolution was to place a propane heater inside a residential area , which at least in NY is highly illegal. He said you know just make sure the kids stay away from it” while they work in fixing the system. Also we just want to note that the fire/carbon monoxide detectors had been removed from the holders and were not working. After not being able to fix the problem he left saying that he would move us to another house. We did not hear back for another 2 hours until we called him back and he said the only other house left was more expensive than the one we were in so we should just leave. There were a lot more issues we had with him including his attitude, but he literally said it’s not my job to fix the heat when he is the property manager and his job title clearly says he is responsible for managing the property. Will never rent through him or recommend going through this agency again. Absolutely terrible experience ruining what was supposed to be a long awaited relaxing weekend away. I wish I could add videos to support my review as well."
