"He charged me $40 to take in a $20 skirt . Unfortunately, they did a terrible job !! She was rude to my daughter because she was paying by credit card . Find another place !!"
"Brought gown in to be altered. Destroyed the gown, gown originally had a train, after they cut it, it no longer had a train. Also made one side to short, fabric had to be added to make it floor length. Took 3 fittings and 2 weeks , and the job wasn't finished. Finally took it somewhere else and got it done. Will never go there again"
"This review is updated after several years of service that was mostly good. They had made a few mistakes with over pressing some delicate ties, but overall they were nice and did a good job. Then about 6 months ago I started having problems with my laundered shirts. Whoever they send the shirts to started damaging my shirts. The left sleeve above the elbow came back cut on one of the shirts. It was an older Brooks Brothers shirt that was in very good condition but I was willing to accept their premise that the shirt was too old and it gave out. They agreed to fix it and I continued to bring them my business. A few weeks later, another, newer shirt was damaged in exactly the same way. This was another Brooks Brothers shirt that was about 6 months old. There was no signs of wear to the shirt anywhere. They agreed to fix it again, but I was really starting to get annoyed. They shirts do not look good with the repair they did. I only accepted it as I felt they had done a good job over the years and it seemed like they were trying to do something to help. I figured I would just wear the shirts under a sweater or something in the winter. I told them if it happened again however that they would lose my business and that they should talk to their shirt vendor (they dont do laundered shirts on premise btw if you are not aware - most dry cleaners don't). Then about 2 months ago a nearly brand new Charles Tyrwhitt was damaged in the exact same way. The shirt was only worn twice and if you know the quality of CT shirts you know they are very well made. I told them they needed to replace this shirt and any subsequent shirts that get damaged if they wanted to keep me as a customer. I honestly thought that was being too nice and I shouldn't have even offered to continue coming. The man was hemming and hawing but the woman, I believe his wife, was yelling at him in their language and I couldn't understand what they were saying. Words aside, her tone of voice was clear and he said they would not pay to replace the shirt. I said if they didn't they would lose me as a customer. Well they threw away an 8 year customer that even stuck through the ownership change all because they wouldn't stand behind their work. I've since taken my clothes to Apple cleaners up the block and so far so good. I don't understand people who run small businesses like this. Throwing away a weekly customer over a few shirts they ruined. If you notice similar damage, don't listen to whatever they are trying to blame it on. It's not your shirt it's them. Do yourself a favor and don't wait for them to ruin 3 of them before you leave."
"I brought in my sweet 16 dress on July 1st to be altered. The women told me it would be done by end of July and she would call me. She never did call me so I decided to go there thinking it would be done on august 14. Not only was it not done but was never touched. It was in the same place we hung it when I dropped it off. When we asked about it, the women got very snippy and rude. My mom then asked for the dress back she started rumbling my 500 dollar dress and ripping out all the pins. I started hysterically crying and ran out with my dress. I have gotten some pants done by them before and they always hem them too short. I would not recommend them at all. They are rude, lazy and frankly don't do a good job. I will never go there again."
