"This place is convenient and they do a good job of getting the cleaning right, but the customer service is ugly. The female attendant was drab and monotonous in the way that she tended to me. The little store is hot and stuffy, and the woman's attitude was a mirror of the store. I politely said, loudly, "thank you," upon receiving my change and she did not even reply, smile or give me eye contact. I have always noticed the poor customer service, since I have been bringing my business there for some time now, but today took the cake, because my young child witnessed the awful attitude of the woman behind the counter. People in the service industry must remember what they say about the customer."
"They did a good job with cleaning and repair on a sweater, but a very basic hemming of a dress cost $40. I am honestly not sure if this is standard, but I may shop around for a better price for other simple alterations. That being said, it was done very well."
"WORST DRYCLEANING SERVICE EVER!!!! They made hundreds of holes on my cashmere sweater, so they agreed to stitch them up admitting that their fabric shaver was broken somehow. A few days later, when I came to retrieve the sweater, there were still a lot of holes and the owners blamed me for the damage insisting that the cashmere sweater was too thin. They also said they never admitted their fault for damaging the sweater. The owner lady literally shouted at me and refused to compensate for the sweater and the drycleaning fee I already paid. If the sweater was too thin to dryclean, they should have let me know before they took it in for the service. When the damage was happened, they denied everything. Instead, the owner yelled at me for over 30 minutes. This is not the kind of service you would want. They didn't refund the drycleaning fee and just gave me 50 bucks for 350 dollar cashmere sweater."
"Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with this business. I’ve been bringing my clothes here for about 2 years and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars for dry cleaning and minor alterations during that period. I dropped off a stack of clothes about two weeks ago, and picked up this afternoon. Upon arriving home, I realized that my white blouse (a white button up, long sleeve) had yellow streaks on both sleeves as well as sporting on the front by the collar. The shirt did not have stains before I brought it in and I asked for a dry cleaning. I took the shirt back about 10 minutes later. The woman proceeded to tell me that the shirt was like that when I brought it in (a $200 shirt in like new condition). She would not take accountability for the staining and insisted that I did not know what I was talking about—as though I didn’t know what my own clothes looked like before I brought them in. She gave me my $8 back unprompted and commented that she could try stain removal AGAIN. This wasn’t an “again” situation—there was not significant yellowing to the top before I brought it there. I walked out, and went to another cleaner/tailor. This individual confirmed my suspicion: given the extent of the yellowing, it’s likely that the blouse reacted to something applied to it during cleaning. I should have known better—just two months ago, the sleeve of another sweater was damaged here following a repair (I didn’t complain then because it was minor, but I should have). Based on my experience today, I do not believe that this business respects its customers and stands by its services. I hope that others have better luck."
"Aladdin is a great business, very kind, helpful, and caring. My friend has brought them at least a few coats over the last year for zipper repair or cleaning. Each time they've done a great job. Today, I picked up a jacket that needed a zipper repair and a cleaning, a jacket my friend has had for years. It looked brand new! Everything that other reviewers have said is true, I think. I just wanted a more recent review for them."
