Best Laundromat Inc 3642 Bailey Avenue, The Bronx, NY 10463

"I had been going to this laundromat for the last couple years, but I believe tonight will be my last time. The lady who works Sunday night is rude, only talks to people she seems to like, and seems to always have a different time when the place is closing. She cleans when people are still here and stops them from using specific areas — while the place is still open — while she walks around on her phone, screaming as if they were standing across the street. I don’t know how anyone can think with all that noise going on. This evening, she told me I couldn’t put my second load into the dryer I had already started, insisting I put money in a new dryer because she chose mop in front of it already. I told her under no uncertain terms would I be doing that, and that I follow the same exact routine I always follow. She then told me I wouldn’t have enough time to do it because she is “leaving at 9,” despite the hours being until 10. If the dryer were to run full time, it would be 9:05. There are a lot of laundromats here — many with much newer machines, and employees who at least don’t interact with you, if they aren’t going to be good customer service. I like this one in the past because it’s a mom and pop and I prefer not to support the chains. But there are other mom and pops I’ll walk the extra half-mile to, who at least are considerate of their customers."

"the worst laundromat ever, mostly due to the rudest owners/employees. as I was exchanging a $20 bill in their machine for quarters, I was aggressively yelled at for using their machine by the woman managing the front desk. she began to yell & accuse me of using a “broken” machine as the quarters were pouring out and said it’s for paying customers (which didn’t make sense since I had laundry in the car to bring in & I was never once asked if I was currently or actively going to wash clothes). I tried to avoid the confrontation & as I was slipping the next bill to exchange the woman immediately placed her hand on mine and gripped my hand trying to snatch the bill out of the machine as it’s halfway entered. I immediately asked her to stop touching me & my money. She would not let up until I eventually agreed to take the bill out myself, in which she remained with her hand hovered in her paranoia that would reenter my bill after such an interaction. I collected my coins from the first exchange while being stared at by her & stood next to me until I left. Not an employer or boss stepped in to regulate her actions. This is no way to treat paying customers or people in general!!!! If you want to go to the “best laundromat” I certainly would not recommend coming here."
