Welcome to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, a vibrant place of worship located at 25 Ocean Avenue, Center Moriches, New York. We are dedicated to serving our parish youth and their families in faith, preparing them for the sacraments, and offering a spiritual home for all. Our church is a bustling hub of activity, with numerous ministries reaching out to thousands each week.
Join us for Mass and experience the warmth of our community. We offer services on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (Spanish), with both services livestreamed and available on Facebook. Sunday Masses are at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 12 noon, and 6:00 p.m. Daily Masses occur Monday through Friday at 7 a.m. and 12 noon, and Saturday morning at 8 a.m., with the 7 a.m. service also livestreamed.
Reconciliation is available in Our Lady’s Chapel after weekday Masses and at designated times on weekends. Our church offers various ministries, including service, learning, community, and prayer ministries, ensuring there’s a place for everyone to connect and grow in faith.

"Went for a Funeral. The church is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Lots of stained Glass windows. Bright inside. The staff were so sweet. The singer had an AMAZING voice. It's about 20 minutes from my house, but I'm thinking of going back to worship there. The priest was kind. Clean Bathroom. Lots of parking."
"It was my great grandfather's funeral service instead of honoring and mourning his great presence, we were lectured by the priest on the basis that we do not attend mass often in this church, even though we are not from the area and attend a smaller church closer to us. He was bothered by few of my family's children who was making noises and told them to go to the back, overall an upsetting experience."

The consolation ministry was magnificent in helping us to plan a service for our beloved family member in a way that worked best for us. The church itself is gorgeous and evokes a sense of peaceful, spiritual devotion.
