"Went to the Lindenhurst PO to get help renewing my passport. THANK YOU ROSE!! for all your patience and help! She walked me through the whole procedure, did my pictures, packed it all up and sent it off...and we had a few laughs along the way. Rose was spectacular!!!"
"As a native Brooklynite, my friend Dolly and I recently ventured to a post office in Lindenhurst, NY. Given my metropolitan roots, I generally approach post office visits with a sense of dread, expecting them to be a nexus of frustration and discontent. The mere thought of the long lines, brusque service, and overall chaos is usually enough to put me off. However, my recent experience at this particular post office in Long Island was a refreshing divergence from the norm. From the moment we stepped in, we were met with an atmosphere of calm and efficiency that was completely unexpected. Each member of the staff exuded a friendly demeanor, patiently answering our queries and offering assistance with a level of professionalism that was truly commendable. Despite the other reviews, these people were awesome. Try going to Brooklyn and see how you like those folks haha"
"My package was accidentally delivered to the wrong house. I called, spoke quickly to a very nice gentleman, Anthony I believe, he looked it up, saw the problem and said he’d tell the delivery person and I’d have my package soon. About an hour later my mail carrier was handing me my package! Mistakes happen, they worked quickly to resolve it and that was awesome! Good job and thank you!! -Sue"
"My review is not just about Lindenhurst Post office and its workers, even though, they could had been a better help with the issue and decided not to, but with the USPS as a whole. here is the issue, Three money orders were purchased and shipped from Lindy Post office to North Carolina, package was sent priority mail and insured to reach final destination by 7/29/22 Package was delivered 8/6/22 with a enclosed letter stating packaged has been opened and damaged and a new package was labeled by somebody else(?) and mailed again to original (final) destination with ONLY ONE MONEY ORDER ENCLOSED, two of the money orders were lost or stolen; Lindy Post office offered no help, beside saying internal investigation needs to be done and WE HAVE TO PAY them to do it If money orders were issued by them, with Tracking and security numbers, would they have the way to check if they have been cashed?, stop payment of lost ones and re-issue them again? According to post office, that is not the way it works, we need to probe to them that is not fraud, even though they clearly said packaged was re-labeled . A woman name Carla, supposed to be a "supervisor" ( ??) at Lindenhurst Post office, and another woman who stated her name was Christine, however she was wearing a name tag with AJ on it, probably did not want to tell us real name? were no help, the woman with name tag AJ was great to tell me she was doing me a huge favor doing the inquire for me after I had paid for it.. no wait ... I thought that was her job!!! Well Thank you Lindenhurst post office This money was sent this way because it had to reach destination safe and on time, we understand things happens but work with us a little bit, don't tell us, nothing can be done, it may take 30 to 60 or even longer on some cases , in the mean time we are out of the money and NO ANSWERS, we are a young couple ( 21 and 23 years old) starting a new life in NC , money was for security deposit on our new apartment , thank you Post office for No help, you have us scrambling for replacing that money that has to be paid immediately, they wont give us 30/60 or 90 days !!"
