"This village is a joke. Was actually summoned to court and fined over a hundred bucks for overgrown lawn. Never had a problem with it before and was given absolutely no warning. Every single person I talked to about this including two lawyers thought it was absolutely ridiculous that I wasnt given a warning. I wasn't allowed to just pay the fine by mail either so I had to take an entire day off of work to attend their court. I've lived all over Long Island and never seen such snob behavior. The more people I talk to, I'm realizing that Lindenhurst has a reputation for this kind of thing. Clearly seems to me that they try to get as much money as they can from their hard working residents."
"At this point, Lindenhurst Village Court is abusing. An officer gave me a parking ticket meanwhile I paid for the parking spot and still had minutes left. I don’t know if he didn’t notice or what but that’s on his end. Now I send evidences of how I had minutes left and plead not guilty. They want me to go to court on 2/28/24. Now I got to lose a WHOLE DAY of work just for a parking ticket??! That’s insane. They tell me at the bottom if I can’t make it, to just pay the ticket. Wow!! What an unprofessional village court. I guess $25 is going to break then. It’s so unprofessional from their end. I have seen other villages but this one got to be the worst."
"Pleasantly surprised by my experience, Judge Bopp and the court staff are all very professional and polite."
